Same. I've already gotten a ton of delays and cancellations this year and we're barely into February.

We're on an hourly system now that I thought would give us a few extra snow days.
Nobody knew how many we had left until Monday...and then I found out.
We have like 24 left. Now it's like 23 and 4 hours.

How does this "hourly system" work, exactly?

You have to work in 1,001 hours of open time as a school. This includes basically any time the school is open for education besides lunch time. So, you pretty much accumulate 6 hours every day. And every day you miss, you will lose 6 hours from that.
The amount of snow days you get is determined by how many hours you go over the 1,001 mark. Apparently we're like 150 hours over or something of the sort, so we have a lot. Some schools don't have many because they don't want as a long of a school year. I'm not sure how we got 24 out of this, but hey.

I see. So the total number of hours missed is just made up at the end?

@Ithe Only if you fall under 1,001 hours. If you schedule extra days as a district, you can miss those days and not have to make anything up. In other words, if you schedule 1,037 hours, you can afford to miss 6 days without making days up.

Okay. If you don't miss any hours do they cut off the days at the end or just keep them?

Sadly they keep them, just because it would probably confuse everyone with exam days and whatnot.
