| Eh, your cpu is fine, your gpu's aren't the ebst but, they could probably run games on low-medium settings on 720-900p. I do not recommend ultra. |

@lethal
by the looks of it, this is the Lenovo Y510p, which is known to be a killer gaming beast for its price(1000 USD)
@OP
if games have options for a custom graphics scheme, try to steer clear from high anti aliasing settings with a smaller screen 2-4X MSAA should be fine
also stay away from super CPU intensive games |

full specs? also it won't be super powerful because a fan won't fit in with the GPU don't be surprised when you spend 1k and your games lag just because of a poor GPU
i spent 1k in 2012 on a sony vaio e series (google "sony vaio e series specs i7" for specs, top result cnet) laptop and it lags on games like minecraft it has some AMD card i can't be bothered with remembering and an integrated intel hd graphics 4000 it's got an i7 quad-core and 8gb ram but the gpu is slow so the 2gb memory on the GPUs goes to waste but yeah and stuff
extremely powerful laptops are incredibly thick and extremely expensive |

@buck
once again, the laptop is most likely a Lenovo Y510p, often regarded as one of the best affordable gaming laptops out there
the Y510p model replaces the disk drive with an additional GPU
also, the laptop that came up has an older mobile radeon card with "sony hybrid graphics"
most likely your issue

i dont understand gaming laptops
why would you spend that much on a laptop when you can build a pc thats probably twice as powerful for the same price
for the portability? u gonna be playing battlefield on ultra settings on the way to school? |

the ASUS ROG G56JK is pretty much the same laptop except it has a single GTX 850M and 12GB of RAM
if ordered from iBuyPower it is only 960 dollars
however the 755m SLI edition does perform better in a lot of games |

asus's laptops are bulkier than competition for maximum airflow
if you want to settle for a thinner laptop, the Lenovo Y510p(if you are willing to SLI) and the iBuyPower BATTALION W230SS(for single card, uses a GTX 860M) are good choices and are less than 1100 dollars |
