You say this like it's something new or relevant. Everyone and their pet dog has said this on the forum at one point
And they're not wrong. But at least we still accomplish things, OP... TCC... Well... |

| Eh, it'd be different is TGI's decline was unavoidable. It was actually just really, really, really bad policy by a few people in power. Things like encouraging more discipline when there was no problem with discipline... rank stagnation... things that made members disheartened and forget about the group that they once enjoyed. Really, TGI has a rich history but TGI's failed to remember what it was in its prime. |

Well fortunately for us we are in the rebuilding stages right now. We have been for awhile actually and new additions and hopes for a new base to come out soon will be what we are waiting for. The only thing I dislike is the inability to have us actually recruit because of that we always lack newer people.

@inductive Tainted's vision was good, the clan did need more discipline especially with who we were up against. Members jumped around and acted like fools, some refusing to follow orders. Tainted was able to remedy that for quite some time.
But I wouldn't expect you to understand that, you weren't an active member of the command nor were you even active in TGI as far as I remember. You didn't come back until later.
This however didn't cause TGI's downfall, our war with VAK did. Half of the officers left to join VAK, it was demoralizing.

When I was a Lord in TGI around when Tainted was, there was quite literally absolutely no problem with discipline in TGI in late 2012. Well, if there was, it was only with Tainted. It was only after Tainted proclaimed that there was a discipline problem that members started acting up.
Really, even so, to proclaim that there's a discipline problem while promoting the person he's ODing... ...a bit hypocritical, don't you think? |

Yes, well he got lord a 3rd time he has only been doing behind the scenes stuff and counseling toward Rodger I assume. Otherwise I don't know what he does.

She got lord based on a vote between the current Lords and the Emperor. Tainted was not involved in the vote, he didn't decide her position.
And either way, even if he did promote her because of their relationship that has nothing to do with discipline and it is irrelevant to this topic. |

She got to Field Marshal thanks to him, despite being an utterly mediocre soldier and a worse officer.
It actually is relevant, Ossadeus, because when one promotes discipline, one should at least practice it, particularly with important things like not being corrupt.
Feel free to go ask people who were in TGI in the fall/winter of 2012, before Tainted started preaching discipline about whether or not there was any problem with discipline. There was no problem with discipline, as all of them will tell you. It was only after discipline trainings began, and Tainted/Roullete and perhaps a few others focused on discipline that a problem developed with it. |

In late 2011, early 2012 there was a huge discipline problem.
Also here, just since you seem to have no idea what discipline means; dis·ci·pline ˈdisəplən/ noun 1. the practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience.
Corruption does not correspond with disciplining troops. I always felt she was an OKAY officer, she made the boring occupations of SMO fun when VAKs wouldn't defend and she was a good trainer, which was her the large part of her job. |

Yes, they obeyed rules perfectly, because they weren't stupid rules which TGI was founded to get away from, like jump twenty times or whatever.
There was no discipline problem until Tainted came along. |

| There was, we lost defenses against IOM because people wouldn't friggin' listen. It was irritating, but I guess you're overlooking those times. |
