-OFFICIAL RULEBOOK OF RNFA- __________________________________________________________________________________ How to become a player/ref/assistant coach
Your first chance to become a player is by going to the official RNFA draft. Although if something happens or you don't get drafted, You will then become a free agent and then have to attend any tryouts, combines, scrims, pickups....etc to get on a team. To become a ref you will need to PM your resume/experience to Penguian or Killer4723 and you will possibly have to go through ref training. To become a assistant coach is however your head coach decides to manage it whether he wants you to coach a team in a scrim, or go through training or just by trust. __________________________________________________________________________________ Leaving a team
The only way you can leave a team is by being traded or cut/released. Only head coaches are allowed to cut players. If you are caught leaving a team illegally it will result in a 3 game suspension and you will return to the team you originally played for. If the player is caught leaving twice, they will be suspended for the season. __________________________________________________________________________________RedoinGames
Only the Commissioner or Co Commissioner can decide whether a game is redone due to bad reffing, or any other sort of "cheating". __________________________________________________________________________________ Penaltys
Delay of Game = 5 Yard Penalty [Dead Play] - Offsides [Not on sides after the whistle] = 5 Yard Penalty [Dead Play] How it works- if the whistle is blown and a defense player touches an offensive player it is encroachment but if they go offsides without the snap happening, it is not offsides if they get back onsides. - False Start [Steps across the LoS after whistle] = 5 Yard Penalty [Dead Play] - Out of Bounds Kick = LoS at 40 Yard Line [Dead Play] - Insulting, harassing the Referee, could result in an ejection or delay of game penalty. - Too Many Players on the Field = 15 Yard Penalty [Free Play] - Dive behind los or into the backfield = 5 Yard Penalty [Free Play] - Intentional Grounding = wherever the QB was, the ball is down there & Loss of Down [Dead Play] - Fake ball thrown by sideline player = 15 Yard Penalty [Free Play] Illegal Formation = 15 yard penalty [Free Play] No blockers = 10 yard penalty [Free Play] Use of M - 5 yard penalty [Dead Play] Even if the whistle is blown or isn't blown, this penalty is still in effect if the refs want to call the penalty or not. If this happens 3 times the penalty can increase 10 yards. Trying to tell the ref what to do after a play - 5 -15 yard penalty (depends on what the refs call) this only happens when a coach or head coach goes up to a ref or PM's a ref what happened, or what should happen. __________________________________________________________________________________ Field goals
During a field goal you must be at or closer then the 40 yard line. During a field goal, you must have a field goal football holder. At that point the field goal ball holder can either x the ball when the kicker comes or fake it and run or pass. If the ball is handed off the Kicker must kick the ball and can not cross the LOS when kicking, the kicking has to always be moving when receiving the handoff. They can not jump. Same with PAT. __________________________________________________________________________________ Fumbles
If you happen to backspace the ball it immediately becomes a fumble. Also if you dive for a catch or interception and your not touched, if you backspace to get up and the other team picks it up that is also considered a fumble since the receiver was not down by contact. If you dive and backspace it as a catch and do not have the football for 3 seconds, it is ruled as incomplete. __________________________________________________________________________________ Field Setup
There must not be more than 7 players on the field for each team, if the number of players during a play (not before or after) exceeds 7 then it is a penalty. Games can be played with 5-7 players on one side, any lower than 5 will not be allowed, and the game will be halted until 5 can be formed. If not, then the game is an auto-forfeit. __________________________________________________________________________________ Ejections
Refs must have a legitimate reason to eject someone. If you are to harass the refs in any sort of way they could eject you. The first two times is a warning, the third and further on is when the ref decides to eject you or not. If the player commits three penalties on purpose in a row, they are ejected. 2 lag sacks means that the player can no longer sack the QB or rush in. __________________________________________________________________________________ Illegal Formations
You must at all times have one blocker. The blocker can not go out for a pass, if the blocker isn't the center you must have someone drop back to block for the QB or have the RB block for the QB. Snaps must be in the Hashes and the QB must be 3 yards or more away from the QB. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Teams and refs
The player must be in the main group and the team's group to be able to play. If they are not in the group, they can not play. If a head coach or any coach decides to ref, there will be a penalty that will take place for the team. ___________________________________________________________________________________ All above is subject to change.
