I seriously recommend Wolf Brother. It's the first of an amazing series.
The general idea in a nutshell: It's 6000BC approx. Boy called Torak watches his dad bleed out. Dad tells Torak to go on some weird quest right before dying. Finds out he can talk to wolves. Makes friends with a wolf cub.
^^^ Wouldn't consider that a spoiler since it all happens within the first chapter so yea |
