We over at underscoreGames are looking to push out a few new brief projects to attempt to front page, but after that we want to tackle a larger project.
So, we're going to try a game similar to Apoc in play-style (player v. environment + PVP).
It won't be based off of DayZ.
Here is what we are prioritizing... - Free-to-play from beta (you guys shouldn't have to pay just to test a game, come on) - Little server latency (combat is important to us and to you. we know lag sucks.) - Lots of customization (yeppppp, and more aesthetic stuff as well, attachments, etc) - Intuitive gameplay (marketing to children here, and it shouldn't be difficult to do things anyway)
If there is anything that you feel Apoc or Dead Mist did wrong, feel free to post below.

Yes, projects I do alone tend to fail.
Luckily I have an entire TEAM backing me up, bahahaha.
Have some faith in us, will ya? We just tasted some success already, I don't think shoving failure in my face constantly is relevant anymore. |

No, I'm not "showcasing" the game here. I want to do things right from the START. I'm asking for what YOU want to see, what faults that YOU saw in those two games above so we don't mess up.
If you are able to do just that, that would be super helpful.
These things need to be planned correctly, and I'm making sure that we understand that we are going for something feasible here. |

Aesthetic things like that will probably be monetized, but you will NOT have to pay ridiculous amounts like that.
Microtransactions do succeed, we saw it happen over at Prop Chase. A cheap price, something like _5 robux_ would probably be enough to equip a skin. |

I actually highly support inventory dumping after dying.
I think it adds a sort of competitive feel and thrill that really just can't be paralleled if you have this mindset of "oh I will keep my stuff when I die". |

well how about losing a fraction of your items and currency?
thats a lot more forgiving to the younger players and probably reduce the amount of ragequitters |

Rofl, do no games save stats such as level, weapons, etc...?
I play gta samp (multiplayer roleplay server) and the level system is acquiring a certain amount of playing hours and cash on hand. |

Two separate sets of stats? Saved and current?
I know a lot of friends that are really into showing off their Apoc stats, and I think it's even more challenging when they reset.
At the same time, I get what you're saying about levelling. It's also a motivational factor.
Would a dual system work? |
