'Ello,
Apparently there is a new regulation for the Internal Affairs Bureau that states that we must forward any complaints to the Secretary of Labor rather than simply handling it within our agency and then sending a detailed report to whoever needs to be informed. Now, this regulation was implemented without contacting the IAB Administration at all to see what our thoughts were on the matter which makes it a bit immature to basically make the IAB the mail truck agency that lets other people do our actual job.
What is our actual job though? Our job is to investigate claims of abuse/corruption along with investigating people for abuse/corruption in general. So, how does this new regular severely impact the Internal Affairs Bureau in a negative way? Well, here's the copy/paste of the new 'regulation' for the Internal Affairs Bureau.
"- All Employees who wish to report abuse shall notify the Bureau of Internal Affairs. From there, the IAB shall forward it to the Secretary of Labor." (Source: http://www.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=154791781)
So according to this, we don't handle reports of abuse. Apparently, the Secretary of Labor handles reports of abuse. What is the actual job of the Secretary of Labor though? Well, the Secretary of Labor's real goal is to create a nice work environment, create more jobs and creating equal employment opportunities. For more information regarding the Secretary of Labor, go here: http://www.dol.gov/_sec/
This means that the job of the Secretary of Labor isn't to handle reports of abuse. That is the job of the Internal Affairs Bureau. However, his job is to set regulations and so on. Personally, I believe the reason this regulation was put into effect was to give the Secretary of Labor a real purpose in USA besides just making regulations for everyone. It isn't really fair that they're taking our responsibility away from us and by means of this petition, I request that the regulation as stated earlier is abolished and declared null/void. (Specifically that regulation, not all of the regulations stated in the thread.)
Why am I making this petition though instead of just contacting the Secretary of Labor requesting that the regulation is abolished? Well, I tried. Here's a copy/paste of the messages.

I noticed that the IAB is now required to forward our reports to you after we review them so you can take action. Unfortunately, this 'regulation' is disrupting our actual duties as we prefer to talk to the person providing the punishment ourselves, not send it to the SECLABOR and then the SECLABOR sends something that is likely going to be different than what we would of said. If its not what we say then its likely going to be some kind of inaccurate description of the evidence and the person providing the punishment may either decide that a punishment isn't necessary or not much can be done as a result when a lot can be done.
I request that the regulation on the Internal Affairs Bureau is abolished so that we may perform our daily duties as efficiently as possible and if you ever go inactive, the IAB would be on a full halt for that duration as we wouldn't be able to do anything else legally.
Thanks, Director TheBenSquare, Internal Affairs Bureau

Clearly, it doesn't seem to bother him if he puts the IAB on a full halt if he ever goes inactive for some kind of reason and can't handle the complaints. So, please, if you are against that regulation, please say 'Signed.' The Executive Order put in place to remove people from their executive positions should enable us to remove a regulation that was not put in place by Congress/Supreme Court which should give this petition a purpose.
What about that famous statement though where someone says, "Nope. You just want more power." Well, that is not the case. We can't exactly handle complaints as effectively as possible if we have to forward it to the Secretary of Labor who already handles a lot of different things and since he handles a lot of different things, odds are he won't have much time on his hands to handle complaints when the Internal Affairs Bureau can handle them quickly as a top priority.
So, as said earlier, if you agree, please post 'Signed' along with any other additional comments if any. If you disagree, please provide your reason for disagreeing.
Signed, Director TheBenSquare, Internal Affairs Bureau |

| What are you talking about? The IAB has the same exact job, only that the DoL handles the communication. |

@Bill,
The communication factor of it is one of the most essential responsibilities. If you say it the wrong way then there is a good chance you'll have to take them to court to have anything done at all. If you say it the right way, odds are that you'll get them to do something about it.

It seems that the Secretary of Labor forgot what his REAL job is. Mr.Sec lab, your job isn't to take care of federal workers, your job is to take care of any workers that are working for a private company, if you didn't know this why are you even sec lab?
