1. convert the percent to a decimal by moving the decimal over 2 places
2.5% would become 0.25
2. multiply 0.25 by 16
3. ???

2.5 x --- = -- cross-multiply(100 times x, 2.5 times 16) 100 16
100x = 40
now seperate x and 100 by dividing 100 on each side
100x 40 ---- = --- 100 100
x = .4 |
