Fellow Americans, it's that time again. The most cherished right in a civilized republic: the right to vote. With this right comes great responsibility. Lately, we've seen those who are inactive, ignorant, and negligent to the plight of the American people and the law of the land. We must choose someone who understands policy and will work towards placing the people before government, placing plans before platitudes, and placing actions before words.
I am running for office because I have seen many things which have made me angry. As a proud American, I have seen this country work miracles on those who came here for a better life. Nothing would please me more than to be able to serve, to give something back to this country and its people for giving our family and opportunity to better our lives. This same idea applies in-game. I would like to become a Representative in the House of Representatives of this great land because being a true civil-servant requires a focus on the American people, not oneself. Some people have either not communicated with the public after campaign lies in their speeches saying they would 'listen to the people' and all that. Well, now ask yourself. Where are they? I don't even see half the representatives and senators. Now, those reasons may be excusable, but as a civil servant, they should be active and working towards serving the interests of the people.
I am a government official. I have worked hard to become a senator and would like to stay a senator. I believe in hard work and working towards bettering yourself and also giving back to this country as well. All the things I've been able to achieve in my life and in-game have taken toil and tears, but there is always a cost to whatever you wish to attain. I have applied to the Department of State in the hopes of being able to represent this great land as well in the international stage. I wish to serve my constituents in the halls of the Capital Building, and will work towards putting the people first and foremost.
I have a simple agenda.
1. Making our departments and agencies more efficient.
I will propose and support any bills that would set a basic curriculum for agency academies, of which driving training will be a course. I would also support measures that would help departments work together more. This would help all our departments and agencies to be more productive.
2. More government transparency.
This would lower corruption and make government officials more accountable to the American people. The people would also know of what is going on and be more aware of this government.
3. Fighting crime.
Our people must be protected from those who misuse weapons and are known criminals. Does this mean we must abolish guns? Certainly NOT! I would support measures to allow legal gun stores in Georgetown (in accordance to the Business Expansion Bill) or in cities like DC which can be bought from owners through in-game money purchases. However, in order to discourage crime, background checks would be accessible to these gun owners, and those who commit crimes will have to serve longer terms in jail so they are less likely to attempt a crime.
4. Supporting business!
I would support every bill that would be pro-business. Our citizens should have an alternative to government jobs, and the private sector is the best place to go! This will also allow the US to be more realistic and will help citizens be more active in business and industry. I would be against any sort of in-game money tax and I do support the Business Expansion Bill.
If you agree with any of these stances, then support me today! I thank you all for reading and offering your considerations to this speech. I promise to put the people before interests, plans before platitudes, and actions before words! We Americans have had enough useless campaign rhetoric, and I ask you all to vote for me in order to achieve REAL results! Thank you, and God bless you and God bless the United States of America!
If you have any questions, comments, ideas, or concerns do not be afraid to Pm my me.
