@Slayer
And why do I care about your urban dictionary definitions? I've never learned an urban dictionary definition in any English class I've been in. |

| It's called slang, especially between dialects. I'm a black dude who lives in the south and born in the DEEP south so "finna" is a common word said by us because that's just in our dialect and slang. |

"It's called slang"
Yes, but it's also illogical. A lot of slang comes into place based off of variants of pre-existing words. Finna sounds like a mistake in speech of saying the previously (and still commonly used) contraction, "gonna". But it's only similarity is that it is a hom(lol roblox THIS is the word you don't like?)phone.
But even the beginning of the definition of slang "a type of language that consists of words and phrases". "Finna" is not a word. "Gonna" is. "Gonna" perfectly fits the description of a slang word. "Finna" fails at the first sentence. |

| There's also dialect purposes to. You don't have your average New England white person saying this now do you? You'll mainly hear a person from the south say this frequently. |

"either both are acceptable or neither are"
Or how about the one that I can find in my merrian-webster dictionary? Or perhaps my literary dictionaries that my english classes require? I can't find "finna" in any of these, I dunno about you. If you can please reference the page, and I'll believe you once I see it. |

"y'all" - Lol I make fun of people that say this. "ain't" - This is a contraction, it is in the dictionary. "might could" - What is this? "over yonder" - This is an adverb (the word yonder.), it is in the dictionary. |
