To be honest, the 2014 winter games were MUCH better, coming with a hub level and minigames made by users for the sole purpose of the winter games. It was one of the greatest events roblox had done. This year was much less notable, to say the least. Unlike the massive event that was winter games 2014, this year's games was simply taking some already-popular games, giving them some winter-paint, and rewarding players for doing the same thing they had done in that game since it came out (seriously, how creative of an objective is "find this item in a game about scavenging" or "get voted as a winner in a game about modeling"). This is incredibly disappointing to older users who were hoping for a huge event like last year. They could have easily done another like it, just take the same hub level they used last year, get developers to make new minigames, and ship it out. This was pathetic in comparison.
What is probably the worst part is how it shows a complete lack of understanding of the userbase of roblox. The only possible reasoning they could have is that "well if they enjoyed doing it outside of the event they should enjoy it now!" which is only good for minor events, not for something like the winter games where we were expecting one like last year, instead of recycling the same typing of events we used for thanksgiving and christmas. I hope that roblox learns from thier mistakes and makes the next even as huge as winter games 2014.

Yeah, you are probably right about this being because they are afraid to try anything unique after the disaster that was the Easter 2014 event, but like I said, they could have just done what the did with 2014 winter games with new minigames, and it would have worked out.

I agree that Winter games 2014 was the best event that the ROBLOX Team created. Now, it's all user-made based games.

I hope one of the roblox employees realizes how badly they messed up and make the next event as awesome as the 2014 winter games were.
