Hi , dear Roblox team. Please allow us to use any colour we want on every brick ->> like the colour selection for fire ,smoke and sparkles !!!!
For example just add a button to the default colour selection wich opens the advanced colour selection window-
----That would be very Awesome .....THANKS---

Dudes ; The aim of this thread is , that it would be really cool and extreme usefull if we could give bricks every imaginable color we want!!!! . Without using guis , scripts or whatever.......
but i dont think that any roblox developer is going to read this(or any other thread in this forum (: ).....so i just send a email directly to roblox . |

"like the colour selection for fire ,smoke and sparkles !!!!"
Makes us think you're only talking about basic colors. So yes, you did.

"dude you CAN make your brick any color, just click a part and go to its properties" if you weren't so ignorant, you would have realized you CAN'T use any color. Brick colors do NOT have the color wheel. SUPPORT!!! |

"like the colour selection for fire ,smoke and sparkles !!!!" >"Makes us think you're only talking about basic colors. So yes, you did." Really, because I immidiatly can see they're talking about Color3 values rather than a limited number of BrickColor values (as Roblox doesn't even let you use all BrickColor values on bricks.)
What they are suggesting is something that's been suggested many times yet Roblox still hasn't added. Bricks should be able to be colored via Color3 values, or at least expanded to include all BrickColors. I understand the issues with moving over to Color3 values (as all existing things reference BrickColor values) but I'm sure there could be a way to either transition to both, or to introduce new parts that use Color3 values. Again, at minimum expand current bricks to include all BrickColors. |

For refrence to BrickColor codes, check the Wiki: http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php?title=BrickColor_codes
As you can see, you are limited to a selection of colors, and if you see the "All Colors" contains many more BrickColors than the available pallet. Using any not included in the pallet will not work properly. (It will set the color, the color will appear correct, but it will not save and display in published servers) |

Well then, he should have stated such. You cannot use a color wheel on sparkles, fire, and other such effects, so he should not have used that as an example.

He never said anything about using a color wheel on them: "Hi , dear Roblox team. Please allow us to use any colour we want on every brick ->> like the colour selection for fire ,smoke and sparkles !!!!"
"colour selection" which fire, smoke, and sparkles have an RGB color selection widget. |

Well, that's not a color wheel, now is it? Plus, that isn't the color... y'know... picker-thing. Those are color codes. Difference.

Coriandr, "Well, that's not a color wheel, now is it? Plus, that isn't the color... y'know... picker-thing. Those are color codes. Difference."
My point is exactly that it's not a color wheel. YOU brought up a color wheel, which had nothing to do with the suggestion... He plain out said Bricks should be able to have their exact color picked, just like fire, smoke, and sparkles can be picked. Meaning as color3 values rather than BrickColors, using the same RBG color selector that smoke, fire, sparkles, Color3Values, and Gui parts (frame, ImageLabel, TextLabel, etc), use.
Why would that make you think "only basic colors" and not "any color" like he said? |

| This should be common logic for Roblox to do such an update. Not now , but years since its release. If I had to guess they are purposely avoiding to add a colour wheel for bricks and I'd really like to know why. |

They used to have 144 supported BrickColors, they just weren't in the 64 colors selection menu-thing. You used to be able to access these extra colors through scripts. But then Roblox updated and got rid of those extra colors for all parts except CSG-ed parts (UnionOperations).
