I want to CFrame a plane at this rate, but I am unsure how fast that actually is.

20 studs equates to 1 meter in real life. This isn't a guess, it was stated by a roblox admin (stravant I believe) on a blog post. Walkspeed equates to how many studs per second your player is moving. So at 30 walkspeed, you're moving 30 studs per second, or 1.5 meters per second.

"20 studs equates to 1 meter in real life"
no,that is 100% incorrect
a player is 5 studs tall, that means a stud is about a foot tall
a meter is 3 feet...
thus about 2.5 studs is a meter |

30 walkspeed is 30 sps, or studs per second. That's how fast your character moves.

Chimmihc, you're wrong. For the purposes of physics calculation, 20 studs is EXACTLY one metre.

"a player is 5 studs tall, that means a stud is about a foot tall"
Actually, a player is about 0.2 meters tall, since 20 studs is 1 meter.

Chimmihc, maybe if you followed the blog, experimented with the physics, and knew a few things about the implicitngine, you'd know that a stud is 5cm.

Roblox Characters aren't real people, their not even based off real people. The physics engine is set in stone and is what calculations are based upon and 20 studs is the equivalent to 1 meter everything is just scaled down in size because it works best (like a toy)

Specifically:
Potato Cannons: ROBLOX Vs. Real World
In ROBLOX, one real-world meter is 20 studs. We can use that conversion to determine ROBLOX’s acceleration due to gravity. |

That would suggest that ROBLOX characters are 25cm tall. We're all midgets. :P

Okay these guys all bring some interesting points up. Most of which I never knew. So apparently the official version is 20 studs = 1 meter. How ever this would make a house scaled to a roblox person like HUGE. So therefore a more practical, but not official version would be that 1 = 1 foot. Also Crazyman32 sited this in his game perilous pacific. One the badges is to fly around the world and he said he used the latter as his scale. So basically if you want to build the official thing where roblox people are supposed to be really small then use 20 studs = 1 meter. If you want to scale everything to the size of the person then 3 studs = 1 foot.

It is made the way it is because the gravity makes gameplay easier. Technically, we are still 20 Studs : 1 Meter

No all incorrect, me as a experienced builder. Knows that 3 studs = 1m. So 30 studs is 10m.

A roblox humanoid is 5 studs tall. A stud = foot. For the speed part I am not sure, but I am 100% sure that 1 stud = a foot

Be aware that the gravity experiment, pie gun experiment you are talking about is totally unrelated to the topic. We are talking about the speed of 30 studs; which is 30km/h. 30 studs in another way is 10 m (or yd)
