It looks like an unwanted chore just to go to places you really don't want to go.
I never had any interest in driving and I don't think I will for a long while. I might not even get my license at 16. Maybe at 18 when I have nothing else to do. |

| I'm old enough to get my license now and I'm definitely not ready. I had to help jumpstart the car and I lightly put my foot on the accelerator, and I mean lightly, and it revved loud as hell. |

It's just, for me, something I never wanted to do. I enjoy being taken from place to place in someone else's car.
(this might be off-topic) My guy-friends tell me I need a car to get the ladies. That's what they're begging their parents for to get a Lambo. Standards are lowering more and more to the point where it's like: Take me here and we'll never talk again. |

i got mine when i was 17 because i had no desire to drive at 16
there is no rush, although it is nice to just get it asap so insurance will be cheaper the younger you are. |

I disagree. It feels like you have to do much more in the driver seat rather than a passenger seat. I didn't study for my license (13) at all, it's all on assumptions.

I didn't say I never was going to get my license.
I said I was already going to hate it.
Like school- I do it, but I hate it. |

| I got driver license almost year ago, I don't like it, expesially being one of only of my friends who has it. I have to drive them everywhere, and I have to be desginated driver for my parents and other people too. |

I dimly recall that I felt the same way. I figured I'd just be able to walk or ride a bike anywhere I really wanted to go. I'd been doing that for so long and it worked just fine.
But now I have so much fun driving. I highly recommend getting a car with a manual transmission, if at all possible. |
