Cryptographic algorithms have to do with cryptography which is OBVIOUSLY used in pass words. Network protocols have to do with connecting to servers, other computers(i.e telnet), etc. Salting refers to a hash/hashes which are encrypted pass words. So, yeah, they're all relevant to hacking. If you think you're a hacker because you THINK you know how DarkComet works, you're one of the dumbest skids I've ever met.

| @Frig Fun Fact: "1337 language" was used in WWII if I remember correctly as a means of secret communication to keep from foreign enemies understanding their messages. |

cryptography? pw's are just plain text that are replaced by •'s so nobody can see them while you type it in. Theyre still text though, stored as a cookie on the admin's database.
Also I never said I was 1337(not saying im not, though xd). I just said that you weren't. |

LOL! Pass words are hashed into a category(i.e MD4, MD5, etc.) and stored into the database. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about, so you are not 1337. |

| and also, I've worked with web designing and have seen databases and how their data is stored; my dad owns a business that revolves around databases and I know they are not "categorized" as you say. |

| The database is derived of Columns in Tables. Those columns then hold just say "Userdata" and that userdata holds the hashes which are the encrypted form of the pass word. So please, gtfo. |

| I never said I was a security manager. I am a security professional. Databases also relate to SQL. Being a security professional, my knowledge is and should not be limited to just networks and systems. |
