NB: Failure to comply with the Codex can and in most circumstances WILL lead to repercussions, this can involve but is not limited to demotion, suspension and in cases of gross misconduct or misdemeanor - indefinite exile.
Table of contents;
Section [1] - Regulatory guide for all Imperials Section [2] - Regulatory guide forImperial Officers Section [3] - Regulatory guidelines and protocol regarding Imperial fortifications Section [4] - Tiered system of Punishment Section [4a] - Tiered system of Punishment (Offence list) Section [4b] - Tiered system of Punishment (Recommended punishment) Section [5] - The Chain of Command Section [6] - Emperor’s clause
SECTION [1] - Regulatory guide for all Imperials
1. Grammar is not optional. Grammar must be used to a competent standard at all times while on duty. Failure to follow this most basic of laws will result in punishment.
2. Correct uniforms will be worn at all times at an Imperial event. This is not advice, this is the word of the Emperor; Law. Custom made uniforms may be permitted so long as they are approved by the Emperor himself or his lords. Wearing officer uniform as a non-officer will result in harsh punishment. This applies to divisional uniforms. If you cannot afford the uniform, you will speak to an officer immediately and seek pardon.
3. Respect will be shown by ALL Imperials to their peers and superiors. Imperials are advised and required to address their peers as appropriate titles, such as ‘Sir’, ‘Ma’am’ and ‘Comrade’.
4. Maturity is an absolute necessity within the Imperium. All Imperials are expected to be mature and professional while on duty as Imperials places and events. Common sense is a requirement within the Imperium. Emoticons are acceptable in the Imperium, but not excessively. ‘/e’ Commands are prohibited within the Imperium.
5. Obey the orders of your superior officers. All orders issued through correct Imperials Channels are to be followed to the letter to the absolute utmost of your ability. Respect your officers, allow them to lead you to victory. (NOTE: If the order is questionable or unsettling, or involves revealing personal information or doing something you are not comfortable with, you are permitted to not abide the order. If an officer attempts this, speak to a member of the Lord Command immediately.)
*POPULAR OPINION DOES NOT MAKE AN ORDER QUESTIONABLE.* The only circumstances in which an order may be considered questionable are as such; If the order in question defies Arcadia itself. The order in question violates ROBLOX rules. The order in question causes great personal concern.
If any of these circumstances are met, then the order and officer in question are to be reported to Emperor Arcadius post haste.
6. Exploits and glitching, thus causing an unfair advantage is strictly prohibited. Any form of such behaviour can only be punished by immediate exile from the Imperium. (Examples of exploits and glitches include sword glitching, speedhacking, lagswitching, etc. “Frog jumping” is permitted.)
7. Evacuation; If an Imperial server is irreparably damaged with no admin available to intercede, Imperials are expected to immediately withdraw. Failure to do so can be punished by appropriate figures.
SECTION [2] - Regulatory guide for Imperial Officers
1. As an Imperial officer you are expected to be on your best behaviour while on duty.
2. Any and all powers granted to you as an officer of Arcadia are to be used in accordance with rules and regulations. Any abuse of powers, whether it be literal or no will be treated with the harshest punishments available.
3. While hosting an event for Imperials, such as a training, you may only do so in a place that has been approved by an appropriate figure of authority within TGI Command.
4. TGI officers are expected to be competent in the tasks they are assigned. If you fail this, then perhaps the officer career path is not for you.
5. As an Imperial officer, you are expected and required to be active and able, or you may face demotion. (Exceptions may be granted with the Emperor’s grace.)
SECTION [3] - Regulatory guidelines and protocol regarding Imperial fortifications
1. In some situations, an officer may not have admin powers during an Imperial event. This is irrelevant. You will follow all relevant commands given by superior officers, whether this be with ‘admin’ or not.
2. ‘Spawn killing’ is practically non-existent at current generation TGI forts, and can only be literally achieved by violating other rules, such as the glitching rule. However this serves as a future note, that being ‘inside’ the enemy spawn, is prohibited.
3. Civilians are to be left alone, unless they draw weapons and take aim at TGI. This is cause to fire upon them with lethal effect and intent. Civilians may not cross the bridge at New Alexandria without escort. Any attempt to do so should be met with lethal force.
4. ‘Practice raiding’ is prohibited in the presence of *legitimate raiders*. Any TGI on the raider team with legitimate raiders will be punished severely for betraying their comrades in arms. *Legitimate raider is a term used to define a raider who is not in TGI raiding with the intent of killing Imperium soldiers.
5. You will remain mature while representing TGI at TGI’s fortifications and cities.
6. You will, upon discovering an enemy, immediately switch to team-chat and remain as such until given further instructions. Violations of this may lead to punishment depending on severity.
7. No prisoners. There is no mercy for enemies of the Emperor. Imperium soldiers are expected to slaughter raiders without discretion unless specifically commanded otherwise by an officer, even then this order should be confirmed.
SECTION [4] - Tiered system of Punishment
Section [4a] - Tiered system of Punishment (Offence list)
LESSER OFFENCES
Failing to maintain proper levels of grammar and spelling. Failing to wear the correct uniform (Not including officer uniform.) Minor violations of the maturity law. Failing to remain in team-chat. Unjustifiable abuse of civilian team.
MEDIUM OFFENCES
Failure to evacuate an exploited server. Repeated occurrence of any lower level offences. Medium violations of the maturity law. Medium violations of the respect law. Failing activity in the course of duty.* Hosting events in venues unfit for purpose.* ‘Practice raiding’ in the presence of legitimate raiders.
GREATER OFFENCES
Impersonation of an officer. Impersonation of a division member. Failure to obey orders deemed reasonable. Exploitation of any kind. Failings or abuse as a commissioned officer.* Violations of the respect law.
*Any offences with an asterisk at the end are generally applicable to officers specifically, although in certain circumstances they may apply to others.
Section [4b] - Tiered system of Punishment (Recommended punishment)
LESSER OFFENCES -Warning. -Demotion if circumstance demands. -Exile for continued offences. -Rank lock for continued offences.
MEDIUM OFFENCES -Demotion. -Rank lock. -Exile for continued offences.
GREATER OFFENCES -Certain demotion. -Rank lock. -Exile.
Such suggestions for punishment have been put forth by the Emperor. Enforcing officers are reminded that the codex is to be enforced strictly and that it is not optional.
SECTION [5] - The Chain of Command
Without a doubt, one of the most important tenets of Arcadia is the chain of command, and upholding it. Within TGI there is a clear Chain of Command, from Initiate to the Emperor himself. Under no usual circumstance is this chain of command to be broken. If there is an Imperial of higher rank than yourself, that Imperial is to be addressed as ‘Sir’ or ‘Ma’am’ as standard.
With whom does command lie in a server?
Command of a server of Imperial lies with the highest rank present, whether that be an NCO or not. For example, 3 Initiates, 3 Sentinels, an Auxiliary and a Vanguard are present in a server. In this circumstance, even though there is no commissioned officer present, all the Imperial in said example server are expected to follow reasonable directives issued by the Vanguard. In the event that for example, there were two Vanguards, said NCOs are expected to either share a joint command or, like gentlemen, establish between themselves who will take command. It is recommended that the more experienced Vanguard in this situation take command, ergo, the Vanguard who has been in said role the longest.
In cases where there are two commissioned officers of the same rank in one server, with no superior, said officers will also share a joint-command, or much like the NCO example, defer command to the most experienced present.
List of ranks
Initiate - Raw recruits to the Empire. No leadership roles or capacity.
Novice - Soldier initiated into the Empire. Basic training acquired. Very little leadership capacity.
Sentinel - A soldier with more extensive training than novice. Expected to provide example for those below. Basic leadership capacity.
Auxiliary - Trained soldier of the Empire, the backbone and strength of the Imperium. Basic leadership capacity.
Vanguard - Skilled and Experienced soldiers of the Imperium. Expected to be competent in the role of leading small Imperial squads. Provides solid example. Harbinger - Harbingers are seasoned and experienced combatants of TGI, expected to provide command in circumstances where officers are not present. Mature, professional, combat ready.
Legionnaire - The most veteran of the lesser ranks. A hardened veteran of TGI who has served in countless raids, defenses and training sessions. Legionnaires are commonly known as NCOs or “Non-Commissioned officers” and are expected to uphold the chain of command and maintain control of servers with no officer present.
Field Officer - Officers of the field who do the majority of their leading during raids and defenses. Leading Imperial servers to victory. Field officers are expected to maintain control of Imperial servers in which they are present and are charged with achieving victory for the Imperium.
Commissar - A powerful, respectable veteran of the Empire.
Field Marshal - A proven leader who has proven their loyalty through extensive terms of duty. Holds command over all below.
Lords - Individuals who have proven their worth and loyalties to the Emperor. Strong and confident leaders, loyal veterans of Arcadia. Second only to the Emperor himself. Lords are to be addressed with “My lord” at all times.
The Emperor - Emperor Arcadius, the bulwark of the Imperium, above all in the Chain of Command. His word is law.
N.B: Issues and problems are not to be reported directly to the Emperor himself unless of the gravest need. To do so would flood the Emperor and tie up his important, limited time. Any problems within Arcadia are to be reported up the chain of command. Starting at Field Officer with basic issues, raising up the ranks only as the urgency and complexity of the problem at hand also rises.
SECTION [6] - Emperor’s clause
In the course of his or her duties, an Imperial should remember that above all else common sense is to be applied liberally. As such, it should be known that at any time the Emperor, Arcadius, and his chosen may and will make use of the following clause;
An Officer of TGI may issue punishment to an Imperial who fails to uphold themselves in the manner expected, this may be in such a way that is not specifically listed on the codex. The Imperium retains an elastic clause for anyone who fails in the course of professionalism, and will use it liberally.
