SAN JOSE, Calif. -- In preparation for the Season 2 Premier of RISE, this Saturday at 9est, this comes direct from the desk of RISE Owner and GM TigerDubya:
We are so close to continuing RISE and starting S2, its amazing how far we have come. However, our rapidly expanding roster and talent depth calls for us to make some important changes to RISE. Last night, I made some huge changes to titles in RISE, so lets go over those changes (shout out if u actually noticed them lol):
ADDITIONS: World Heavyweight Title -I think its about time that we added this belt. This belt will become the 2nd most prestigious belt in RISE, and I think it will be a great belt to fill the huge gap between the International Title and the RISE Title. I know what you may be thinking, another big name belt must mean 2 brands, but at the moment, that is not in the cards for S2, sorry.
Pacific Title -This new belt will only be more prestigous than the RISING STAR belt, but it was made to pay tribute to where RISE has started and operated out of since its creative; the Pacific Coast. This belt will only be defended in a certain match type (not going to spoil, u gotta watch the shows to find out what it is), and NO IT ISN'T THE NEW HARDCORE BELT. I think this title addition will be a good one to captivate the fans with because of the certain stipulations it brings, and also introduce fans to the future of RISE (being that it is a low-card belt).
REMOVALS: Tag Team Titles -This belt kinda had a tough life in RISE. Being that both owners of this belt have retired (at the moment) from RISE and the disgusting lack of competition for this belt, we had no choice but to discontinue it. Im not saying Tag Teams are officially donzo for RISE, we may add a Tag Team Title later if we see more competition for it, but right now there is no sense in having an established tag team face a team of randomly put together people every week. For the record, the Tag Team Titles are officially retired to its last owners; Ebony and Ivory.
Hardcore Title -This belt also suffered a similar fate. First off, having a hardcore match every single show kinda killed the excitement of the actual match, I mean it got to a point where fans were just chanting "SAME OLD ISH" during the match, which was embarrassing. It just so happened that the Hardcore Champion Kamamoto lost his match at PEAK and was forced to retire via match stipulations, so the belt was discontinued then. The Hardcore Title is officially retired to Kamamoto.
MODIFICATIONS: RISING STAR Title -I am adding a new rule to the RISING STAR Title: an owner can only keep the belt for a combined total of 4 shows (roughly around 4 weeks with the new RISE schedule). I made this rule because last season we basically had Herm Cena and PK battle over it the whole season. I mean you can only be a rising star for so long until you actually become a star. So to just balance out the roster a bit and give some new guys a chance to hold gold, I am putting a time limit on this belt. If there is ever a situation where the belts owner reaches his maximum 4 shows and still holds the belt, then he will be forced to relinquish the belt and a tournament will be set up for the new belt. There are also many other problems that may arise with this new rule, but we will deal with those as they come.
Anyways, those are all the belt changes that you should be aware of for the new season of RISE. Remeber to tune in this Saturday at 9est to view the season two premier of RISE, see you then!

| I think the changes are great, there was too big of a gap between RISE title and International. Although, I would like to see more tag teams. About every match that I've seen in RISE has been singles. |

| I don't feel like the tag titles should have been removed, simply because, I know, in my shoes I wanted to aim, for the Tag teams but I was told not to do a tag team, And with the return of LRW, meaning last, might join and you'd have a legendary tag team in M2I In rise, along with upcoming teams I just think that the title might have been put up a tad to soon, plus no one really pushed to give tag matchs. |
