they always fail
sure, you can base your group off of it, but totally dedicating yourself to a game/movie is a horrible idea
due to roblox's limitations you could never re-create the feel of just sitting down at a console/computer and playing it regularly.
say you're basing your game off of destiny, you can get guns from the game, uniforms, and even re-create, say, a section of the moon map, but it will not have the same feel, and will just end up being another random group
some groups don't even make it to the uniforms/fort/guns, they just die immediately, and some can make it to the uniforms and guns, but can never garner enough support for the group to even lift off, let alone get a base
just my opinion though

Creating successful groups is a VERY big challenge. It takes lots of patients, ROBUX, and leader skills. I believe the true reasons groups fail, are one of the above.

It's funny because the complete opposite is true.
Groups based off of original thought will struggle for activity, be in development for long periods of time, or just outright never open.
Meanwhile literally a dozen Napoleonic France groups for example will have people at their forts /all day every day/
Patrolling is still a thing outside the C&G sphere believe it or not. |

| void and vak seem to be doing pretty good and they are based off video games. I think it is better to start a group off as just a group and once it gets activeish transition it into a theme'd group |

Hence the term basing. Just means they take the ideas for lore or what ever else. Like WIJ at one point was based on halo (idk if it still is) VAK was Killzone now mass effect I'm sure there are plenty out there.
I agree that you can't recreate on roblox. Since Roblox itself is trash. |

these limitations arent by accident, roblox places them to keep things like this from happening. they want originality and they want users to create their own games not recreate if that makes any sense

no, there shouldn't be limitations if you truly want to create your own games
you don't see independent non triple a title companies setting limitations on what they can or can not do
if everyone tried to be 100% original, we'd have "super tire spinner while kicking a baby simulator"
i don't think roblox should have limitations on what we can do, but in order for that to happen the whole block idea would have to be scratched, which is one of the major limiting factors, you can only do so much with studio and the blocks
