won't there always be more potential future? the past is just what we've experienced, the future is the experiences we will have in the... well, future and if they were spheres then what you could be experiencing in the future will always be a much larger sphere that what you've already experienced in the past

There is still infinite potential future and there will always be more potential experiences for you in the future because you haven't made the decisions that would lead up to any of them yet and those decisions are all their own fork in the "road" of your life which will all lead up to other decisions until you die But anyway time was probably actually created by humans as a tool to keep track of how many times the earth has rotated and revolved around the Sun despite many claims saying it was created when the universe began. And maybe it was, and the idea of telling time was a construct created by humans, but I think it was just something we made up for the sake of history textbooks

Are we actually able to make decisions? Or are the chemicals inside our brains already placed in a way such that there can only be one future, thus making it impossible for us to actually "choose"?

Well, genetically speaking, everyone has certain hereditary traits that makes them cut out for a certain kind of career. But it doesn't mean you can't choose something else and excel at it.
