I'm working on a roleplay, a free roam roleplay called Survival. It takes place on Earth, where it has kicked back into a more natural form due to humans leaving after centuries of war, famine, and disease. The humans really left because of the radiation that was left from multiple bombs being thrown at each other from different countries. Their technology was barely enough for space travel, but they pulled through. They lived on the "Infinity" a massive ship for a very, very long time. To stop the encouragement of violence, all weapons were banned and for a long time the peace actually lasted. That was until the Speaker, decided that it would be logical to send a probe to Earth to determine if it was habitable, and that's when it all went wrong...
I just need like minor ideas, and like mutations for the animals. |

After Earth basically? The idea seems interesting if it could be worked out. I'd help. |

"...mutations for the animals." I'd gladly help with that part. I love making weird, monstrous, creature things.

| Well, there are several things that could help this "work", who ever you may be, first off, little to no criminals because they could have chosen who got on the ship. Second, realizing your situation, why would you even try to start a crime? Why not just do your part in the ship so you can actually live? Right. Third, with no weapons your drive to commit a crime and get away with it will be extremely low realizing everyone is just as powerful or even more so than you. |

Oh yeah. But what about cops? The military? The people who protect the government? What can you do when some guy thinks it's a great idea to drown the president when no one has a gun to stop him? |

| I didn't mention a president or any forcible flow of power so killing who you think is in charge would accomplish nothing. |

| If you take a card house and take out the cornerstone, it falls apart. So what about the military? What if they encounter rogue aliens in space, and only can fight them with their fists? Are you trying to recreate costa Rica? |

| I don't see what Wall-E has to do with it, and it's only slightly related to After Earth because Calling it a rip off is your opinion. |

| So basically the new earth has become the new offical costa rica? No, I'm not talking about it being beautiful. They had a peace treaty after the war that abolished it having an official army or defense force. |

Similar themes to Wall-E and After-Earth do not make it a rip-off. Inspiration comes from many forms, and so long as you take something and turn it into your own, it is not a copy. We would not have most of fiction if we didn't take common themes and change them.
I'm incredibly fluent in the knowledge of evolution. Piratepad me or something, I'd LOVE to help. |

| It seems like you're running out of base for your argument if you need to resort to aliens, a factor in which I never included. |

I know, but just what if? What if another ship filled with rogues who escaped the place 'made' weapons and came back? Well, I know this is a what if but eh, eh. Also, how would you have a defense force to protect people? |

Well if humans are eliminated from the chain, then I'm guessing other species will be able to be sapient and basically just start civilizations of their own (maybe they are just hunter-gatherers by the point we return to Earth. That's your choice).
Back to our candidates, the primates are probably everyone's go-to, but I think raccoons, corvids, elephants and dolphins might be more possible candidates. Of course, you can resort to the already intelligent species; ants. I'd hate to go back to a world ruled by ants. Then again you'd probably just be taking the plot of Ants-Them!. |

Or reptiles. What if the mutants evolved to walk upright, you know? Or maybe even speak? Or maybe even evolve to become smart? Who knows? Maybe Comrade Napoleon knows! |

| I don't think reptiles are smart enough to match with chimpanzees at this point. They're pretty dumb actually. |

Dolphins? As the sentient species of our planet?
Psh, no. Do you know how VIOLENT dolphins are outside of captivity? They mate through r@pe and play volleyball with baby sharks, AND a pack of dolphins can easily take on a great white. They aren't very nice or docile creatures. |
