Say I were to go out and make shirts related to roblox... (For sale on other websites) (wearable irl)
Would I be liable to get into a lawsuit? Or would I have to make an agreement with David to make this work out? It would definitely increase traffic to the site. I know exactly how I would make them too.

@Dah,
I wouldn't just make it for myself. My question is, if I did make it for everyone and sold it. Would I run into a lawsuit if I didn't ask?
I wanna make Clothing for Roblox (Their Store is pretty bad). I would probably sell them at BloxCon too.. If I could..

| Nothing will happen. They'll literally have to see you wearing it to ask you questions. Who cares? Just do it. |

@Dah,
That would be nice.. I mean, I could probably make them relatively cheap too.

@Elite,
I haven't started anything yet. I was simply asking for permission and what I would have to do to make it possible..
Can we not jump to conclusions?

The short answer to both questions is "yes." Using a person's or company's intellectual property without their consent for profit is pretty much the core of copyright infringement.
To be honest, I'm a little surprised there isn't ROBLOX apparel generally available. They make stuff for events, but maybe it's not yet time for IRL merchandising. Or I'm just missing something... |

You would only be in trouble if you get caught. But regardless, you should ask them anyways to avoid all trouble. By the way, they already sell apparel on the ROBLOX Store website, so... |

@Xero,
I would like to help ROBLOX by making IRL merchandise like clothing. I know I have to talk to David about it. But is there any easy way to contact him other than the one posted on ROBLOX's Page? I'm sure it gets spam mail all the time.

| Getting permission to profit off what some one else is already profiting off of is highly unlikely. Making shirts for yourself and friends is one thing. |

Copyright is when you use logo or trade mark from the company with out permission.That would be law suit number one.
Number 2 selling it for profit with out contacting the compony |

| You know what you can do? Change the size of the leg protruding out of the R by a few inches. It won't be copyright, since it's not the exact same as the roblox symbol. |

@Elite,
They wouldn't be the same type of shirts. ROBLOX Merchandise (Clothing) I see as not very well made atm. I think that it needs more shabang and more effort put into it.
As I asked Xerolyane, I would be interested in contacting David to talk about it. I just don't think Twitter is the way to go because stuff gets buried easily and I am not currently a Roblox Dev. even though I've cashed out 4 times.
