| They should add a asphalt texture for people who are using it for roads. |

| What's asphalt? I'm not really sure what that is. |

@Skitter, Asphalt is a kind of rock used for roads; it's smoother than concrete, therefore it's used in busy highways and roads, but has less durability than concrete.
@Eoi, Painting concrete or slate black or grey doesn't appeal, because in real life, concrete and asphalt are different in appearance.
@Naruto, the suggestion was to make an asphalt material for pars, not the terrain blocks.
I support the idea; it will benefit developers who make road games and games with roads in it. |

@Robloxguy
But you can use terrain blocks as regular blocks. |

| Terrain blocks can only be placed in a 4x4 grid. Normal parts can be placed at any grid. |

"But you can use terrain blocks as regular blocks."
Not really. They can't be CFramed, that can't be grouped, they can't be resized. They are not in any way a substitute.
Asphalt is more rough, rocky then Concrete, due to the lack of cement and water. |

"Asphalt is rough, yet smooth to drive on."
And concrete would be even more smooth to drive on, providing loss of traction. Asphalt's rough rocky texture is purposeful. It provides traction. |

"Just use a texture." Textures don't get the depth of detail provided by bump-maps applied by materials. |

| Also for people who are saying something like "Use concrete texture", read the title of this forum post. I'm asking Roblox to add a new texture, not asking how to make blocks look like roads. |

| You can use the high scalability blocks, or use concrete coloured black. |

I don't know why people keep insisting to use the terrain blocks or dark colored concrete material blocks.
We already stated how it's very different from concrete, and how terrain blocks simply won't do. |
