I can think of one, but the book was so dense that it hardly counts...

H0bbit: Battle of the five Armies was better in movie form, it was only like a few pages in the book because Bilbo gets knocked out right when the battle starts. He wakes up and the battle is over, so it skips most of it.

The Fault in Our Stars. The movie and the book are both garbage, but the movie is two hours of garbage while the book is considerably more time consuming garbage.

Taz, thank you for sharing your great wisdom, you have opened my eyes as to how watching garbage is better than reading garbage.

hobbit and the-series-who-must-not-be-named are better movies than books
author-who-must-not-be-named is a horrible storyteller. great world builder, horrible storyteller. go back to hobbit and read the battle of the five armies. he pretty much says "there was a big battle that then happened. it had five armies, and was called the battle of the five armies. it was big. people died. it's over now. bilbo was knocked out so that's my excuse for being a horrible storyteller." now compare it to the movie, where it takes 2 hours. |

L0TR Trilogy was what I was thinking, Hobbit movies were a terrible disappointment considering how great L0TR was.
