The Quran is just the Bible, with a few pages omitted and few more replacing those empty spots.

@Vaul
I would like to contradict that.
Women are still expected to cover up in a Church if they are Catholic.
Prayer isn't different either, just different positions. |

You ever been to a church? You see more short-shorts than dresses. How about those kakis that we're supposed to wear? They hardly even wear jeans, so definitely not kakis.

| yeah the problem with the qur'an and leviticus is that you have to know what it's actually saying and how it applies today |

no if you are to go to church you are expected to celebrate mass, there is nothing further with it, women and men have no set dress code for mass.

Yes, most religious texts are gory.
HOWEVER THIS IS NOT A BAD THING.
Back then in times of war and hardships, there was no freaking UN or something protecting you, and people got killed, a lot. It probably was seen more as a normal thing then the books where first made. |

| The gory parts in the Bible and Quran are to show humanity not to disobey God/Allah. It is not to show who are your enemies but to show how to not be a malicious follower of God/Allah. |

Not all the time, followers also faced persecution in the texts as well. |

No, they are called extremists for a reason, the word 'extreme'
If you actually saw some of gruesome verses the Qur'an contains it's those verses that they follow.
They use their faith as an excuse to murder and cause chaos. |

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you know what the Catholic Church has done for science? And technological advancement? Without the Catholic Church, we wouldn't have a lot of what we have today, go do some research bud. |
