it's the first family member that died
he was 93 years old, had cancer, and was one of the nicest men I've ever met. |

| My condolences, I know what it's like to lose a grandparent. But I know you and you joke around a lot. So if you are joking then screw you. But if you really aren't joking then sorry again and I'll go feel like a prick. |

| That's what I thought. But one or two years ago when I was 11 or however old you are I was messed up and used to joke about death. No family deaths but I was still a huge scrote when it came to joking about death. |

| I'm sorry, Birm. Grandparents are.. Well, you can't really describe them properly, with a singular synonym, but it sounds like you had a good grandparent. |

My grandma back at texas had a stroke and now she's bedridden in a hospital room, she can't move, she can't talk, and even before then she had no good kidneys
My granddad died a long time ago when my mom was 4. |

| Understandable. Sometimes you just need to.. momentarily forget other things. Even if the thread itself is about the forgetting, you are still surrounded by those who are reaching out, offering sympathy for a concept many of us understand. |

| My grandfather's alive. It's my grandmother who died, she hit the ground one day and for almost an entire week she was in bed, never waking up, not once. Towards her death, the doctor said that she could possibly wake up, but the chances are minimal. And when I went to visit her, I saw her eyelashes moving... But in the next day or two she took a turn for the worse and died. |

Geez man. I only have my grandmother, and she's one of the nicest people living om this earth. And the fact she lived through two centuries surprises me. I am sorry for your lost, and may god keep him well in heaven. |

I've dealt with death a couple of times, actually. I remember there was this really nice old Latvian lady (I'm bpolish and live in a culturally diverse one atbthat) who would greet us with a smile and give us money and candy and stuff. I heard stories that she escaped from the n.azi terror in Europe. Then one day she just died. |

| This is your first encounter with death in the family? Huh, I had around 6 or 7 family members died in my lifetime to my knowledge. My condolences. |
