British noir murder RP.
It is 1946. Black and white television is on the rise, Slinkies are a hit, and World War II ended a year ago.
You are in Durham, England as either a British citizen, worker, or policeman. However, at night, there is a stealth serial murder on the loose at night. Once you see a dead body, find a nearby red or police telephone box.
How do you like it? |

I find myself strangely aroused.

| the idea itself seems plain, although it is rare to see one of these rps, unlike other rps it doesn't seem to have a twist or concept to make it stick out from its genre. |

I think the inclusion of the kitten really brings out the horror in this tale most foul. Impeccable atmosphere. 10/10. |

| Alright. The cat will now be an RP element. The cat will be black and could walk up to someone, indicating him/her that the murderer is near him/her. |

| So is it just a 'find a phone and dial 999' simulator? Or will you be doing any of the actual investigation? |

You can do both.
For the 999 method, you have to run to a nearby phone and dial it before the murder gets you.
For the investigation method, you call an investigator to have him do the job. |

| Those sound exactly the same. You're calling someone over to do the job in both of those options, rather than doing it yourself. |

Piqued my interest. "For the 999 method, you have to run to a nearby phone and dial it before the murder gets you." Could you elaborate on how this would work?

| So if you see the dead body left by the murderer, you have to practically find either a telephone or a telephone box so you can call 999. If the murderer sees you, you have to run for your life and try to lose him before you fall prey to the murderer. |

| Just re-watched the whole episodes of La Noire, is this inspired by the game? Because y'know, "stealth serial murder", Black Dahlia, etc. "Red or police telephone box", y'know all the "Phelps, bade 1-2-4-7", "How can I help detective?" and what not. |

| And, I think this is more of an ISRP for one or two. Because I find that La Noire fits perfectly with the aspect. The two people are basically partners, like in the game. They get ranked up or demoted depending on the cases they complete. The police box is for finding out info, like someone's house, like in the game. I think these will fit well, and the cases (if you make them) will be imaginative and puzzling. |

Good, good. Instead of it being an ISRP, it will have the SPFC aspect that will apply to everyone including the murderer (THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE). Like for example, if you are the murder and want to kill some body, you say this, and I (or any admins) will do the actions.
Murderer controller: I whip out my knife and stab [someone's character]'s neck. OP (or admin): You do so, and [someone's character] collapses on the floor, dead, with your knife on his/her neck. Murderer controller: I take the knife out, get out a bag and stuff the body into it. OP (or admin): You do so. Wise choice.
If you are a civilian and probably the only one watching the crime scene, here's an example.
Civilian controller: I take a peek on the window to watch. OP (or admin): You do so, and watch a man/woman get stabbed in the neck by the murderer. Civilian controller: I make a run into a nearbyphone box and make sure the murderer isn't after me. OP (or admin): Miraculously, the murderer doesn't notice you. You find a police box. You get inside. Civilian controller: I call 999 and tell him about the information about the building the murderer was inside. OP (or admin): You do so, and the police and the investigator is now informed about it.
I'll whip out some more examples soon. |
