This years HB class more than makes up for it, and it really isn't that bad of a QB class

Except RB is the most replaceable and devalued position in the NFL? You can with without a RB, you can draft a RB in the 5th round and have him put up good numbers, HBs really don't play huge roles, being that its so easily replaceable. There's 21 positions I look at before I look at RB.

Marcus Mariota
Jameis Winston
Brett Hundley
Bryce Petty
Taylor Kelly
Connor Halladay
Shane Carden
Rakeem Cato
Garrett Grayson

Not a bad class at all

Pretty sure this time last offseason we listed the QBs and were like "Aye, it aint a bad class, it's a really good class!" and most of the QBs turned out abysmal.

@ext
Bryce Petty and a healthy Connor Halliday are the only ones I can see succeeding. It is possible Shane Carden, Garrett Grayson, and Taylor Heinicke may do well but I'm sort of doubtful. Hundley would suck in the pros tbh

Honestly I like this class better than last years

you really can't say the class sucks when they haven't been to the nfl yet

you can win without a CB
you can win without a TE
you can win without a QB
you can win without a LB
you can win without a S

i don't see your point
you can win without any position, one of the most important ones would be O-Line but that isn't a position ofc

and 21 positions?

tf

wat positions are those
i wanna hear it

and just because you can draft a late RB and he can put up good numbers = no one cares about that?

There's a very clear difference between a GREAT QB and a "good" or "average" QB
LB, CB, S and all work together as a unit, there's a very clear difference between a VERY good CB, or a VERY good safety, or a VERY good LB, and just "average" players.

You can draft a RB in the 5th round and have him put up 1000 yards, the position is devauled, you can find talent for it in the 5th round, a RB "class" will not make or break a draft class because quite frankly, RB is plug and play.

What positions? (Actually 17, no one cares about the FB position anymore either and I guestimatted numbers (added 1 extra CB and WR))
I'm taking a QB, WR, TE, OL(5) DL (4) MLB, LOLB, ROLB, CB, SS, FS

If you have a good OL, you can put any RB there and get good results, it doesn't matter who it is.

you need the WHOLE team to play, it's a team sport after all

HB's are certainly needed to win, just as any other position, especially if your offensive scheme relies more on HB's

you act as if the HB is some non-factor
just look at the nfl team that i like (colts)

they have an inconsistent running game, so they hand the ball to luck so he can win it
and that doesn't always turn out so well

This is because the Colts have one of the worst offensive lines in football?

Do you REALLY think Ray Rice suddenly became the worst starting HB in the league overnight in 2013 just because?
Do you REALLY think the Ravens hosted one of the worst rushing seasons of ALL TIME after having a wildly successful one the year prior, then suddenly JUSTIN FORSETT comes in and becomes a "top 10 hb!!!"?
Do you REALLY think Demarco Murray suddenly became the top RB in the league bc why not!

No, your HB is only as good as your OL is.

and if you have a good OL, any QB can play good, it doesn't matter who it is
and if the OL is good, your WR's and QB's have more time = they can play good
-
if you have a good defensive line, the CB's can play good

also, an HB can play good even w/o a good OL

and if you have a good OL, any QB can play good, it doesn't matter who it is
Wrong, it's entirely and very easy to have a good OL and a bad QB.

if you have a good defensive line, the CB's can play good
This is entirely wrong.

also, an HB can play good even w/o a good OL
Rarely, if ever. I'll take freaking the Bengals HB and a great offensive line over AP and a bad offensive line anyday of the week

Point being, the HB position does not matter like it used to, and claiming a draft class can be good based on a position with a shelf life averaging what, four years?
lol no

I totally agree with you on both. Mariota needs to be in the right system or he just going to look bad on week 1.

If Winston goes straight into starting for a team like Tennessee or New York he basically screwed, he needs to go to either Chicago or maybe Tampa but tampa got way worse problems than QB.
