so i got braces like a month and a half ago and my mouth hurt like hell for the first week but then it was fine
then
two days before christmas the bracket on my right side of my mouth comes off
so then here i have a wire sticking out
then today the wire comes out from under the bracket and is sticking out as well
and then 10 mins ago the wire on the right side broke off, and the left side there was nothing bent so it was just a sharp wire sticking out while on the right side it was the same
so i pulled out the wire, had my mother clip it, she freaked out because i nearly swallowed it, and here i am ranting irl because i'm so irritated that braces that cost $4,000 have the cheapest wire on the planet and also the fact that the first bracket that fell off was misplaced: it was on top of my tooth, not on the outer side, meaning every time i bit down it kept breaking down on the bracket to where it eventually fell off
tl;dr: bracket on my braces fell off, wire was sticking out, then the wire on the other side came undone and was sticking out to where the original wire sticking out broke off and i had to pull out the second wire out to stop the poking on the other side and also had my mother clip off the second wire to stop it from poking as well
so
what do i do?
ask them for a thicker wire?
because my mother did everything the information slip said NOT to do and her braces were fine yet they were also thicker in the wire and mine are paper thin so maybe that's what it is

I just got my wire taken out and a new one put in. The lady pressed down on my teeth like she was gonna win 1.23 million dollars and the orthodontist comes over and says, "I don't like were those are." So she had to rip the wire out (which hurt) and she moved it over and repeated pressing down. My teeth are going to hurt just as long as they did when I first got them, which was 2 weeks. ;~;
...and that's why I have to use this Alt. |

Were you eating something you weren't supposed to? It sounds more like you got crappy braces, only time I lost a bracket was eating school lunch, it was the back one and I swallowed it |

well you have to go to them when anything breaks, and the wire is supposed to get thicker as time progresses. But idk, I paid 6,000 for mine so it could be different for you. |

let's see i ate pizza, caramels, some fruit juice, chicken, sandwiches, ice cream, etc, etc
but my mother did all of this and she had no issues so why should i have the same issues? if anything it's the braces and how crappy they seem

Nope, it couldn't have been any worse for me than the school lunch I was eating |
