So I just found that unfortunately spawn locations do _not_ work as localbricks in a server. They work fine in studio's play solo mode, but do nothing in server mode.
Any workarounds? |

| You need to explain this more and tell us what your trying to do, cant just tell us "spawns are localbricks! how do i fix this?" we have no idea what a local brick is and whatever your trying to do needs to be explained |

| If you don't know what a localbrick is then you likely can't help me. |

If you mean a brick in the camera than I know what it is.
If you mean anything else I have no idea and of course your right because I've been here scripting and learning terms far longer than you. So that means that whatever I have to say is pointless right? |

Gosh, so defensive aren't we?
Yes, it's a brick in a camera. The only other form of localbrick I've seen is inside a message within a player (and a spawn location inside a player isn't much use, is it?)
If you can help me, it'd be appreciated. If you can't, I'd rather you not condemn me for the way I ask my question. |

"They work fine in studio's play solo mode, but do nothing in server mode."
If a spawn location is a localbrick, it does nothing. It functions the same as a regular part.
All I'm asking is if there's a workaround that's efficient. |

Dont say local brick, say when a spawn is in the camera is doesnt let me spawn on it, it only acts like a normal brick.
This makes a lot more sense and more people will understand.
Also I think it used to work and now doesnt, you could try teleporting them the spawn. |

About the phrasing of the question - I have one little issue.
For someone who doesn't know what a localbrick is, they'd just say "why do you have a spawn in the camera?" and then I'd have to explain.
It's just easier if someone sees localbrick and thinks "I don't know what that is" and moves on, so I can get help from people who have experience in the area.
And I like the idea of teleporting, but the way I've written my code has made it a little difficult to incorporate that (because the spawn moves up as you do)
If there are no other options then I'll have to go with it, but I was hoping perhaps someone ran into this issue before and found an efficient workaround. |

"I don't know what that is"
Just dont use local brick, more people know what a part in the camera does than whatever a local brick is. |

Part in camera = localbrick. I've been gone for a while but from what I remember localbrick was a pretty well-known term among people who ever messed around with sticking things where they shouldn't be (aka camera) |
