if it's a specific level you're probably doing this for exp and haven't beaten the e4
in which case who cares gen 6 is the easiest to date you have no need to ev train |

I have beaten it, but to properly EV train you should start at a low level, preferably level 1. So I catch a male and female and they have an egg that I want to train in attack. By the time I would have 252 attack EV's, I already know some pokemon that give defense EV's at about level 50's.
