| I thought I had gotten a bruise on my toe because I'm a toe walker and finally managed to screw up my foot to the point where it was visible externally. Luckily, I just remembered that last night, some kid stepped on my foot really hard (and didn't say sorry, which was rather rude, though I don't think he noticed). :') |

"toe walker?"
It's a person who walks on their toes instead of like normal people do. It causes people to get tight leg muscles. The old doctors I used to have would scare me half to death, going, "If she keeps walking like that, one of the tendons in her legs may snap!" |

"toe walker?" Putting more pressure on your toes then on your heel and arch. Or just walking on your "tippy toes" all together. I'm pretty sure thats what she means. |

Toe walking is liek a habit for me... I still do it, even though i fall down the stairs a lot because of it.

"How do you fence"
I can still put my heels on the ground, it's not THAT bad (though sometimes I actually fence with my toes on the ground instead of my heels). |

| Wow, so when you walk normally your muscles hurt or is it just a habit? |

Not at all, though when I try to life my foot up beyond a certain point it starts to hurt. I can only walk on my heels barely, if at all. Yeah, it's a habit I've had since 2nd grade (in 8th now). |

| I think you can get therapy or surgery for that. |

When i walk down the stairs as I toe walk, I always put my toes near the edge of the stairs (For some reason), and sometimes my toes will slip, and since it's at the edge, my feet go flying and i roll down the stairs.

I am NOT getting surgery. Do you know what the surgery INVOLVES? It involves them cutting open your leg, slicing your tendon, stitching it back up, putting a cast on you for WEEKS, and then slitting open your leg AGAIN to put the tendon back together! |

Oh salmon...just put your toes at the back of the stairs! That's never happened to me before (inb4ithappensbecauseIjinxedit) |

"EUUUGHH"
Yes, EXACTLY! And I've tried physical therapy before, it just didn't break the habit because I'm so annoyingly short that I need the extra few inches to reach some cabinets, and then I forget to go back down on my foot again. |

Hey, nutMeg. Don't you think you want to try and stop it? It doesn't seem like it's a good practice. Also, if your doctor said you might snap a tendent in your leg, I think they meant akylies (if that's how you spell it) tendent. And the akylies takes years to hell. |

Hi (yay, you're unbanned, Akky! :) ). I can't. It's so difficult. I've tried before... Yeah, that's the tendon...*cringe* I think it only snaps if it's to the extreme, though. There are some kids who can't life their foot up at all (I am not one of those kids). |

*lift
I probably should stop, though, because I'd be risking: 1.) My ability to fence 2.) My ability to walk around school 3.) My ability to go up/down stairs |
