Depends on the parasite. If it's one that just happens to be in your linens--unlikely, unless it's bedbugs--then a hot wash might hurt them a bit. Probably won't get the spawn, though...
Now, though, you said worms. Can you describe them to me? |

| I just researched apparently you guys are wrong it does but on certain conditions on the type of cycle and temp. You must use the highest temperature and set it on the heaviest wash cycle. Same with dryer. And I know because they also said it works for thread-worms and EGGS for getting rid of them. And thread-worms are a type of worm parasite so yeah. |

| Use bleach, if the clothes can't be bleached, use borax or microwave the clothes for 30 seconds. |

Most bacteria and parasites can be killed with heat, except lice.
You have to burn those things to kill them or smother them in a dark bag for a few weeks, they can hold their breath underwater.
And just curious, why the hell are hookworms in your house? Ew. |
