"I could have done that myself, you know. Don't perpetuate gender archetypes." "I know. I did it because I wanted to, not because I thought you needed it." "You're just exercising your patriarchal male privilege." "Really, by opening a door? You must feel so empowered right now." *she walks away* |

| Don't most people who open doors open doors for both men and women? I don't really think this is a gender issue. |

You wouldn't have responded like that OP
You would have murmured, looked at the ground and very quietly said "sorry" before quick-walking away |

I wouldn't have opened the door mate, thats the difference between us. You're a sad sack of italian food who seeks to better the world by opening door for people
Me? I'm a half-Jamaican dj who doesnt even open a door for myself

if they have a problem with it that's their problem not mine |

most people i know open doors for men and women they don't open doors for my sister and then slam it in my face because that's a real dbag thing to do and i too hold doors open for people if they're right behind me or would be walking through the door shortly after me idk it's one of those things i just do without thinking about it |

Hi Meldo.
And to everyone else, I hold the door open for anyone who is close by, and don't just open the door for girls. |
