Disregard the post above... If you suspect you have a virus on your computer, make sure you have an anti-virus on your system, something like Norton.
But, sometimes Norton doesn't see everything, so I would recommend downloading MalwareBytes and SUPERAntiSpyware and do a full system scan with both.
Lastly, go through your system and uninstall any unneeded programs and such, as they could house the virus's that cannot be scanned.
If you MUST download something that you don't fully trust, use virustotal to scan the file, it's an online site that scans files or addresses for virus's and it uses about 52 different virus scanners. |

actually,mind you @above,you got everything ass-backwards ; disk defragging is a better solution than AVs (most of them are crap,even malwarebytes).

@brendon
all you need to do is run a full scan of your computer with a good anti virus. |

Assuming you are serious... -Read this first, don't attempt to do anything until finished reading- 1. Shutdown your computer) 2. Turn computer back on) 3. Immediately after the computer is powered on or restarted (usually after you hear your computer beep), tap the F8 key in 1 second intervals.) 4. After your computer displays hardware information and runs a memory test, the Advanced Boot Options menu will appear.) 5. Use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking and press ENTER. 6. When your computer boots back up, run SUPERAntiSpyware and MalewareBytes on your PC to clean up the virus's... |

| I use Panda Cloud Antivirus. It's a useful, free program and got rid of all my computer problems. |
