Eh, I'm about 30 minutes late because I'm just -that- girl (You know, the useless one that takes ages to do anything), but hey it's here. And it sucks more than ever.
What do you use authoritative logic for in your games?
Do you use FilteringEnables?
What pathfinding do you use?
Do you people like to use DataStores or Persistance?
What properties do you guys even serialise in Instances?
Do you think I should refularly do more than 5 questions?
Why does everyone else have a happier life than me?
What is the stupidest thing you've seen today?
Anything you want to ask me? (That includes questions I neglected to answer before and I'm sorry for ignoring you)
Today my parents dragged me off to Church. Now, I'm an Atheist, and I don't hate Christians really but having to listen to an old guy witter on about something I don't believe in really leaves me hating it a little. But anyway, today the.. Uhh. Fr person. Was wearing pink. It was wonderful to see and I giggled before my mum told me off. Anyone able to explain to me why the rambling old guy was wearing pink today? |

What do you use authoritative logic for in your games? Authoritative logic? What's that?
Do you use FilteringEnabled? You kind of have to. Replication is dangerous.
What pathfinding do you use? A*, or Bellman-Ford. Depends on the case.
Do you people like to use DataStores or Persistance? DataStores. Makes more sense.
What properties do you guys even serialise in Instances? ...none really. Important info shouldn't be in Instances.
Do you think I should refularly do more than 5 questions? I like it >w<
Why does everyone else have a happier life than me? Not necessarily.
What is the stupidest thing you've seen today? object.method()
I apologize for being forced to go to church (don't know why people bother forcing their non-believing kin to go to church)
Don't be so hard on yourself .u. |

What do you use authoritative logic for in your games? Anything that can potentially alter the game experience negatively for other players. :)
Do you use FilteringEnabled? Yes, for all of my new projects.
What pathfinding do you use? The ROBLOX-implemented voxel pathfinding, with some minor adjustments.
Do you people like to use DataStores or Persistance? DataStores! Much more flexible and better organized.
What properties do you guys even serialise in Instances? Do not understand the question. :P
Do you think I should refularly do more than 5 questions? Yaaaaaaas
Why does everyone else have a happier life than me? Well, from my experience, how happy you are is all about your outlook on life and events. Yes, you may have had a bad day, a bad week, or even a bad year, compared to what you've had before. But always try to look on the bright side, and you will surely be happier. :)
What is the stupidest thing you've seen today? "if player.Character = 'false' do". Don't ask.
Also, pink is fabulous. Don't deny it. :P

Authoritative logic is just like, checking before accepting changes to see if they're actually allowed. It's like what used to be used in stuff handling leaderstats and stuff before FilteringEnabled

Authorative logic for purchases only. Seems like a hassle to do it for the entire game.

| It's kind of a pain, and most people leave it out on the grounds that it shouldn't change if they don't change it, but it helps against glitches hehe |

*shrug* I guess
If someone did succeed in crafting malicious input, I should be helping them realize how much effort they're putting into cracking a kid's game. |

What do you use authoritative logic for in your games? Idk, what's authoritative logic?
Do you use FilteringEnables? No. Too much complex stuffs I don't want to try and work around.
What pathfinding do you use? I haven't had reason to use any yet.
Do you people like to use DataStores or Persistance? DataStores, always.
What properties do you guys even serialise in Instances? I don't serialize anything, and I haven't really had reason to yet...
Do you think I should refularly do more than 5 questions? Sure.
Why does everyone else have a happier life than me? They probably don't, they're either better at hiding it or the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.
What is the stupidest thing you've seen today? Idk. It's 10am.
Anything you want to ask me? (That includes questions I neglected to answer before and I'm sorry for ignoring you)
Why do you speak Esperanto? How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if you programmed a woodchuck that could chuck wood?
Now, I don't know what kind of church your parents brought you to, but the guy was probably wearing pink because it's advent, the four Sundays leading up to Christmas, in the Catholic church.

---What do you use authoritative logic for in your games? Everything I can, when I'm in the mood. I am usually in the mood.
---Do you use FilteringEnables? Every time I can, when I'm in the mood. I am usually in the mood.
---What pathfinding do you use? Never had a reason to use it. But if I did, I could probably create a complex script that used FloorWires to do the pathfinding (Not very good pathfinding) and then check it by sending rays to verify the locations of the.. Oh wait. I can't use rays to find GUIs. Never mind. Either way, it would only be to see peoples' reactions on the forums.
---Do you people like to use DataStores or Persistance? DataStores, all the time.
---What properties do you guys even serialise in Instances? Well, back when I used to make SB scripts, I created my own plugin to do this. It took me a few hours to get it right, but it serialized everything I needed it to, including most of the properties of BaseParts, and also any meshes they had in them. I didn't use it since two years ago, and if I did, I would make it a lot better, and make it include decals, particles, et cetera.
---Do you think I should refularly do more than 5 questions? It just depends on how many questions you can think of, really.
---Why does everyone else have a happier life than me? Optimism. I'm not exactly a psychiatrist, though. I'm sure a psychiatrist can help with anxiety or misery, however. To me, you seem really happy. Everyone else seems pretty happy. A large problem is, most people keep their sorrow and stresses to themselves, so nobody else really knows how hard it is for them. If you hadn't pointed out how miserable you always are, I would have assumed you are really happy. I can't tell the difference (Especially through Roblox, but that isn't the point). Most people at my school assume I am really happy, just because I don't tell them how tough it is for me.
My point is, we typically assume everyone else is happier than ourselves.
---What is the stupidest thing you've seen today? That you should send a message to Info@Roblox.com because someone uploaded a free model with an infectious script.
---Anything you want to ask me? Not really, or at least, I have nothing pressing or of priority. |
