We would of thought we wouldn't have to see it.
But of course, another way ROBLOX just adds on reasons on how they don't care about the normal people. |

Devs are normal people, and we want everybody to try their hand at creating games. That's pretty much the foundation of ROBLOX. |

@Gordon
With all respect, sir...
Is ROBLOX pretty much giving good developers a ton of stuff, to bribe other players into developing, is that the plan?
Examples: o ROBLOX makes obvious items refered to popular games. o Of course as you've seen the past few days I bet, Giftsplosion's final gifts.

"The foundation of roblox is also controlled by more players than builders"
We could have all the players in the world, but with no game creators they'd have nothing to play. Similarly, We could have all the game developers in the world, but they still need players to make them a success.
It is a two way street and both are pretty much equally as important. ROBLOX is a game creation platform, but also a game sharing platform.
"Is ROBLOX pretty much giving good developers a ton of stuff, to bribe other players into developing, is that the plan?"
We want as many people building on ROBLOX as possible. It isn't about bribes, it is about making it worthwhile. The more people who we have creating games, the more games we all have to play. |

If that were the case, you'd have a point. However not every item is made for developers, that's just hyperbole. |

But, if you're giving people prizes for something they already probably make a fortune off of (Loleris for exmaple) then...
Isn't that still bribing regular players? |

@Gordon-
I agree that developers are a fundamental block of the roblox community, but why does that mean that the giftspolsion alienates average players??
Was the in game hats to compensate for this??
is the giftspolsion going to become a event more exclusive to those who actively contribute to roblox whilst the average player earns hats in game??

Gordon there are other people who succeeded but follow other goals than the ones ROBLOX gave us
for example there are many popular war and clothing groups like RAT,NU,USA along with tiger,kestrel,eagle,etc but they are known for good clothing and members not for making games
While you are currently reading my boring siggy i have left you a christmas present. |

I really don't think this year's giftsplosion was any more exclusive than any of our past giftsplosions.
The Cool Gift of Nice and Busy Users was handed out to over 200,000 players, and the The Next Level Gift was handed out to over 10,000 players. I don't have stats on the Badger gift, however that was easily obtainable with under an hour's work. The Short Supply gift was also fairly obtainable in my opinion, I earned it and I'm not even that big a trader. If we are going to talk about the simple ROBLOXian who doesn't like to create, only play, then The Sharp Gift of Been There Played That should have been earned by everybody as it was all about simply playing games.
That leaves 6 gifts, of which the Gift of Friends and Followers wasn't exclusive to developers and could be earned by anybody. ROBLOXians who play a lot of games and accept friend requests could have pretty easily racked up that number of friends over time.
That leaves 5 gifts for Devs (counting the Giftt of the Master Developer as 1 gift, which it really is.)
We can compare this to last year, where we had 4 gifts that were exclusive to developers, and we see that this is pretty much exactly the same as past giftsplosions. |

@Gordon, Lots of users have tried there hands at creating a game but can't due to time or they just don't enjoy it. I don't enjoy making my own game as I find it boring and I have better things to do. However if I did create a game, the chances of it getting famous is low, if you continue to support already popular games. When you created a line of items related to games it only made those games more popular. Also what about the Thanksgiving and Holiday events? You're making popular games ever more popular
I, as an average user, feel as if you don't care about us. I feel even more neglected from this years giftsplosion. This year you're giving to the devs who already have enough, to keep them creating/updating games and to stay on Roblox. Instead of keeping the devs on Roblox and only focusing on them, maybe, just maybe, focus on the average user. If you keep on neglecting us there might be no players to play your precious developer's games.

@Gordon
I'm not only talking about Giftsplosion. I mean some events (like the Summer Games) was highlighting developers, and pretty much highlighting the games so the developers would get a lot more stuff.
The only time I see the ROBLOX staff highlight not-so-popular but good games, is if they are good buildings, but not good games.
It's just like the staff praises devs in my eyes, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

@gordon-
There is a distinct diference between this years giftspolsion and last years, otherwise no one would be making a fuss. people are only making a fuss because they recognise this. You can't deny it.
This years gifts lacked the usual imagination. the restricted gift of short supply for example has already been done in 2011. Also this was not "fairly obtainable" since no one knew what it was about. It was very misleading, there is nothing "restricted" about owning 20 limiteds, therefore none of us expected it to be for that.
friends and followers could only be earned by 2000 people. mainly veterans, who can collect up 8014 friends within a year?? mabye 10 people??
I agree that the badger gift, level up and cool nice blah blah where nicely obtainable.
yet the next level and the badger where the only gifts that required you to do something in the present tense, the rest where for meeting requirements that you can't achieve in a few days.
I understand that players who actively contribute should get more than those who don't, but this much more?? seems a bit unfair. More obtainable gifts for newer players next year would be much appreciated....

Also TNL gift was unfair to international users, so I'm guessing you like to neglect us as well too! Also Gordon stop pretending, you know the truth.
