Would anyone be interested in a Maze Runner/Prometheus role-play? Including a group of people set in a labyrinth above ground while people can walk around inside the walls and peer at the competitors via a one-way ballistic-proof glass.
Every so many hours, the maze will open or close and the competitors will either leave to a village or go back into the maze to fight off the challenged chosen by the viewers. But, mid-way through the story a extraterrestrial civilization has something to do with the maze and the outside world.
In the village, the viewers can continue to have power. Such as demanding a drought to severe sleet and even raids of inmates from the outside world.
Would anyone be interested?

Well, I'll be watching Maze Runner sometime this week, so, y'know... If I can get back to you on that, I will.

| I'd be interested, as long as extra research isn't required. (I've seen Prometheus, but not Maze runner and might not be able to afford a cinema trip before it's gone with Christmas oh-so-nigh.) |

No research is required. Basically Maze Runner is just a maze with people running through it. I was actually disappointed by the movie. Though, I shouldn't be surprised, the books are always better.

Especially with Eragon. My gosh, they ruined it with the movie.

Never thought the books were that good in the first place. So the movie did a good job of encapsulating the books really. |

What a subtle joke, Mage.
And I've never heard of an Eragon movie, nor have I read the books.
Happy Saturnalia-Month! |

| I put down Eragon after reading the prologue. The author's writing is too pompous for my tastes (and it's a teenager, which doesn't surprise me at all). |

Aye. Relatively decent for some teenager getting his own novel published, but he never really seems to improve, bar the third book which I recall being slightly better then the first 2 (Didn't read the fourth.)
Although I am quite surprised at how well the books are received. |

"Relatively decent for some teenager getting his own novel published"
I've heard that his parents own/work for a publishing company, and they're responsible for his books getting published, but I can't verify that. It's probably just a rumor, but I'd have to check.
And, I'm sure his series has some interesting concepts, it's just that from where I stand, the execution seems poor. |

| But I digress. Precision, although I won't join, it seems like an interesting idea. It sounds more like a Hunger Games/Maze Runner crossover, but then again, I've never seen Prometheus. I encourage you to try it out, nonetheless. |

Even when I first read it, I felt it was rather generic. I'm pretty sure it even had its own "I am your father!11!!!!" (Brother) esque twist somewhere in the second book.
As for that first claim.
"After another year of editing, Paolini's parents saw the final manuscript. They immediately saw its potential and decided to publish the book through their small, home-based publishing company, Paolini International.[2] Paolini created the cover art for this edition of Eragon, which featured Saphira's eye on the cover. He also drew the maps inside the book.[3]" |

Wait no. It had the brother and the father plot twist crammed into it. My mistake. |

| Heh. Maybe. I wouldn't know, I haven't read it. But, the general plot is pretty generic, I'll admit. As long as those books are, though, I have faith that he's included *some* unique twist into at least one of the plots. |

Honestly. It's been years since I've read them so I probably may be forgetting something. But I can't think of a single stand out moment from any of them. It might have been noteworthy had Tolikens work not come out years ago. I mean, it's not fifty shades of grade levels of bad. I don't want to lobotomize myself to forget it existed. It's more mediocre. Nothing really stood out. |

| Understandable. And you're right, Tolkien's work tends to outshine other medieval fantasy writers. |

fifty shades of grade
Just like to clarify. That was a joke. I meant to spell it incorrectly to imply I hated it so much, I went and spelt it wrong to spite the novel. So, once again. Not a mistake. Did that on purpose. |

Are you kidding me?
I mean, I get how you might not like the books, but they ruined it with the movie. Saphira literally grew from a baby to an adult in several seconds. Not real-time, movie-time. That was completely stupid...
And, Eragon never had a battle with the Shade in Farthen Dûr. Oivey...
