To be honest, I can see where everyone's coming from on both sides. Yes, these gifts should require being active and making true achievements. However, some of these gifts are a little much, and are a little over the top.
http://www.roblox.com/Golden-Gift-of-the-Epic-Modeler-item?id=190077189 http://www.roblox.com/Impressionable-Gift-of-Publicity-Explosions-item?id=190076449 ^ These two may have been earn-able together, however the model one is quite a hard as it is. No it's NOT IMPOSSIBLE to do, but it can take at least two years or so of almost nonstop advertising to get your product out there cause there are some models with a pretty good sold amount and mostly because they have stuck there since 2006, or 07, or 08 and up.

^ This should have been for users who at least sold a set amount.
--
http://www.roblox.com/Gift-of-Friends-and-Followers-item?id=190076296 ^ We shouldn't have to do this, the follower system would of been better to have. Why? Because people like me like to only keep people we talk to and not strangers.

^ ALL FAIR!

^ I can personally tell you, this is also fair. Understand that RbxDev isn't a Developer elite group, just make something cool with your time and impressive that people will like. How do I know? Cause I'm in RbxDev (Website) and I'm not even famous, I just make some cool places they liked.

^ This is one of those over the top ones, because 20 is a bit high. 10 would of been better in my opinion because traders usually sell or have 1:2 trade ratio I think is the way to put it. So unless you have Robux or horde this is hard to get for anyone.

^ These people spent a LOT of money guys, now I do think isn't right because we have users all over the world and it's not right for those people. I do think they deserved something for going to the con but for a giftsplosion requirement that's not right.
--
http://www.roblox.com/Opened-Cool-Gift-of-Nice-and-Busy-Users-item?id=189749728 ^ I'm rather mutual about this, cause if you are active and play, it's fair and if you done something wrong well you shouldn't get it. It's not really a present to complain about anyways it's just a present that is kind of, there.
--
Conclusion: Yes be active, and work for these presents cause not all of these have to be catered to you. I do agree that some are wrong, and that for the community a set number requirement and NOT rank would of been better for everyone really.
No you don't NEED these presents, and I really could care less if I get them. I am just speaking my look on this and how it affects everyone. The developers DO deserve some presents because guys they benefit ROBLOX everyday cause you play their games with their work.
Most of these are fair and just require trying, and really, the last few have been easier, it is only getting harder. However, that's not entirely bad, they are just trying to reward the people who build up this website for what it is.
If you disagree with me, that's fine, if you agree with me, thank you.

| I think the one thing you need to add it is like the gift for beating the witching hour (The one that gave the santa bloxikin) And that you already got something from the maker faire (THe top hat) and that it's only fair for the visitors. |

@Meapie - That is true, but when you pay around 5k dollars or more for the flight to the cons, plus the entry fee, plus the hotel cost, a fedora is minor "thank you" for how much people spent to come to a game convention with the major audience being kids.
Regarding the witching hour, I don't remember it too well, I was not so active or didn't participate. Mostly likely I didn't care about the Halloween stuff. |
