"all countries know" ^ statement is a lie
how was it a lie?
if not the atomic bomb, than it would of been a full pledged invasion called X-Day which would of caused thousands of more deaths on each side |

Are Americans really taught that it prevented more lives being loss? Because everywhere else in the world seems to be taught that America did it for revenge.
I honestly don't trust the American government in terms of education. |

1. im not american im Finnish
2. the us gave a days warning where they were going to bomb, you would think the japanese government would tell their citizens to prevent more causalities
3. the US didn't do it necessarily for revenge, they did it to make japan stop the war and prove that the US didn't need to do a fill-pledged invasion as the final step, if the US did it for revenge you would think they would drop it on Tokyo?

| pretty sure the bombing of Hiroshima was unnecessary, i mean it didn't have a military base, but it did make the war take less time, which makes it so it would reduce deaths, because if the war had continued, there would have been more deaths than the total of the deaths from the result of the bombing of Hiroshima. |

@iKeno
By the end of the war, most of Japan's major cities had been destroyed by U.S. air attacks. Hiroshima was still intact. The reasons Hiroshima was chosen as the target for the A-bombing are assumed to be the following.
The size and the shape of the city was suited to the destructive power of the A-bombs. Because Hiroshima had not been bombed, ascertaining the effects of the A-bomb would be relatively easy. Hiroshima had a high concentration of troops, military facilities and military factories that had not yet been subject to significant damage |
