Hi, firstly let me explain that I am not a new user. This is a placeholder account for the development team XYLEM Technologies. The current user (SigmaTech) has been developing since 1/28/10.
PROBLEM: Alright so ever since I've been developing EVER, I've had a tedious experience going through the explorer to find this model (Which I'm looking at) within another model to re-name it.
SOLUTION: Wouldn't it just be easier to have an option (on the studio "select tool") to select an indexed object, an object within an object?
There could also be a number for how far the "select tool" can index. 0 being a model within workspace, 1 being a model within that model, 2 being a model within that model within the other model, etc etc.
CONCLUSION: This would save everyone a lot of time! Thanks for supporting. Leave a reply if you're confused. |

The select tool won't allow you to click a part on a car if it's in a model, which sucks if you're just trying to rename a tire part to "TireBackLeft".

Support. Seems useful to me, even though I don't put models in models because I am a noob at Studio.

@bencarsonthetenth You must be an idiot. Did you even read the post? It says right there that it's a placeholder account for SigmaTech. Some people...

If Roblox does this properly, it could be a great update. However knowing them, Roblox is probably going to (considering they make this update) do it the wrong way and screw up Studio.

It sounds like a fairly simple plugin someone could make if they knew enough about programming finding the child of the child of the child of workspace that was clicked... I don't think this needs to be something that Roblox themselves have to create... I support someone doing this, lol.

Did you even read the second and third sentences in the 1st paragraph? I believe it didn't say it was made in 2010.
