If I'm going to record on ROBLOX, What Recording program do you recommend, and what's the difference between these two programs?
From what I heard, Most people use Fraps on ROBLOX, But what about Dxtory? In my opinion, Dxtory seems to have more options then Fraps. But I don't think I ever saw a Robloxian using Dxtory.. Should I use Dxtory or Fraps To Record on ROBLOX?
(I've made a forum related to this, But I change my username, Making it so I can't see my recent post with my old name. Sorry if you have to see it again) |

Fraps is userfriendly and easy to used. DxTory however, is a different story. If you have the technical knowhow to get it working to your own specs, then it will work like a dream. But if you don't know what you're doing, it could get complicated (thats what she sed).
apparently i'm a _______... sounds like _______. (.-.) |

What VFXed said.
Fraps is a very simple, easy to use software. There's next to no setup required other than choosing file paths. It's an absolutely amazing for beefy PCs. However, if you don't have a powerful system, here's where issues arise: Fraps has GIGANTIC file sizes, meaning if you don't have a large HDD, you could get into trouble in a long video. Fraps also tanks your FPS, which is why I said you need a beefy PC.
Dxtory, on the other hand, is a great software for mid-high range PCs. It takes a while to customize everything, and you may go through a bit of bother trying to record Skype audio, but once it's setup, it's bliss. File sizes are low, and the FPS tank is minimal, provided you put your settings right.
Take it from someone who has used both for a substantial amount of time.
TL;DR Fraps = Beefy PC. Dxtory = Mid-High range PCs. |
