Anyway. I had an idea.
The story would be set with the backdrop of a Kingdom that died due to its own corruption and gluttony. Soon the cities turned to ruin, yadda yadda ruins 'n stuff. The citizens and guards were replaced with undead versions that only do what they were doing before their death, and attack anything with a living heart. Of course, as things broke down and simply became unusable these undead eventually just started doing random things such as randomly slaughtering eachother if all other points of their 'life' were eradicated. Soon, this kingdom became little more of a pilgrimage to collect a rare material only native to the Kingdom's vast mines which have laid dormant since.. the kingdom's death, duh. The things that remained perfectly intact, with little to no rust were the mirrors.
So princes, kings and barons soon began to flock to these lands in search of this now painfully rare item. They would commonly set up encampments in the ruins of the city as they made their trek to the mining facilities. And the mirrors were there, yadda yadda. The mirrors would see these humans, in this sort of non-sentient way and imitate the little lads walking around. Of course, the plague of undeath that had hit the cities soon corrupted a majority of the persons of the army, so they too joined the eternal guard of the city. Who ever survived this plague were mostly killed by the new inhabitants of the city, usually new and exotic animals. The crude imitations in the mirrors, with nothing below the helmet and armor soon killed those that had survived this horror and somehow 'escaped' their 'dimension'. No, these are not doppelgangers. They have no personality, traits or minds of their own. In a sense they are not really sentient, they are simply the perfect imitations of the armaments that the Mirrors saw.
Essentially, you lot will be a bunch of lunatic adventurers who decide to go find this odd material for lots of quick money and, somewhat quickly meet eachother. Of course, everything in this lovely paradise of a kingdom senselessly wants to kill you. The simple fact is for this lovely kingdom is that you will kill those you meet or die due to them. But that's your choice.

I like it.
But, it's kind of confusing.
So, everyone in the kingdom was replaced by the undead? And then people wanted to 'loot' the kingdom for mirrors? MIRRORS? Were they magic mirrors?
And then everyone starts going to the undead kingdom?
WHEN THEY COULD BE KILLED!? JUST FOR MIRRORS?
