A/N The Sovereign Unity is focusing more on lore. I have seen that our motto means nothing and is just something we say. I'll be posting chapters of our lore every other day. This will be story driven and dialogue heavy. It won't just be an info dump about something in TSU. Your comments and feedback is much appreciated.
CHAPTER 1) SOVEREIGN Father Gahn walked down the dark halls of the church. Each step he took would spread light out from his feet. Other than the dim light that barely bleached through the windows, this was how he navigated the labyrinth of halls. He wore a black robe and an orange glass visor that covered his eyes. The visor which allowed him to see the will of the goddess even through the dark. He believed in the goddess but destained what she willed. She willed of lust over charity, wrath not patience and pride before humility. What most religions call sins she called virtues. Not far down the hallway, Father Gahn could see Sovereign leaned against the open window. He was looking out the window at the scene before him. The sun’s rays gleamed off the city’s skyscrapers that pierced the sky and then some. The sky was blue without a single cloud and in the distance was a vast ocean. The waves gentle and calm as the breeze carried bits of ocean scent up into the church. “Hello there glorious Sovereign,” Father Gahn greeted with a smile. Sovereign looked over at Gahn. “Oh hello there Father.” Father Gahn chuckled and took a position next to the Sovereign. He could feel the ocean breeze blow through the open window and caress his old wrinkled face. The air had the faint scent of salt and water. “The goddess cast her gentle winds upon us today,” Father Gahn said. “That’s nice,” Sovereign responded, his voice without concern. Father Gahn had this uncanny feeling about Sovereign. Sovereign was a young man, fit and healthy as a new horse. Yet he was uncaring, different from the previous Sovereigns that came before him. He had no enthusiasm for the goddess or the empire he had full dominion over. The things he have spoke aloud would have had any normal man executed. Blasphemy or heresy is what they’d charge him with. But who would dare try and charge the Sovereign, the voice of their goddess with a crime. “Sovereign, you seem much different,” Father Gahn said. “You speak of heresy against the goddess. Men who have spoken such things have been smited by her on the spot.” “If she dislikes the things that I say about her why doesn’t she smite me?” Sovereign asked. “Um—B-Because you’re the Sovereign. You’re the voice of her will,” Father Gahn answered. He could see by the way Sovereign looked at him that his answer was asinine. He was unsure why Sovereign has not been smited. Hes seen people smited in broad daylight by the goddess for speaking her name wrongly. Families of the smited all killed by her will because one foolish person was unsure how to spell her name. Why could Sovereign get away with such acts as this was unknown. “The Sovereign before you have never act in such a way as this,” Father Gahn told him. “You know what the other Sovereigns would say if they saw you act this way.” “How would I know that, they’re all dead,” Sovereign replied. “The memories from previous Sovereigns before you are passed down to you. Everything they’ve seen, everything they've done you have their memories of.” “Actually I don’t,” Sovereign admitted. “All I have is a note from the previous Sovereign saying how he locked me out from accessing these memories.” This made more sense to Father Gahn. All Sovereigns came into existence, where they come from is beyond anyone understanding. When one Sovereign dies the new one can be found in the Goddess’s chambers ready to take over dominion of the Sovereign Unity. Every Sovereign had access to the memories of all the other Sovereigns. But this Sovereign, somehow the previous Sovereign before him broke the cycle. Somehow this Sovereign does not have the memories of his previous lives. He was a young man without guidance and nobody could help. “I see, now I understand why you speak such heresy about the goddess,” Father Gahn said. “You’re without guidance from your previous lives. I understand now.” The previous Sovereign was Patreiot. A charismatic man with personality for technological achievement. He was a Sovereign who favored understanding the universe over conquering it. During the previous war he was killed by an assassin. Days later the next Sovereign had exited from the goddess chambers. Without memories of his previous life he was bombarded by his Warlords with questions and information regarding the war being lost. If he had his memories he could have handle such a feat, but he did not. Sovereign was a young man who had just exited a chamber without any memories and was being overloaded with questions and statements about a war he did not even know. It was hard. “Father, I have been Sovereign for the past week. There is a lot I still don’t understand. My question is, why do you think the previous Sovereign locked my memories away. Why would he handicap me in such a way?” Sovereign asked. “I’m unsure, probably because he had done something he did not want the next Sovereign to know about. Something he did not want you to bare.” Sovereign slowly nodded his head. The previous Sovereign could have been protecting him from such a painful memory or was trying to save his appearance. Either way Sovereign would never know what is past life did or why he locked away the memories of his past lives. “Now Sovereign, since you’re without memory there will be a ton of history you’ll need to learn,” Father Gahn said. “Our lore is deep so I hope you’ll take the time to study up on it after we teach you everything you need to know.” “Shouldn’t I be leading the war against the Imperial Navy instead of learning about lore?” Sovereign asked. “Don’t worry, your Warlords will take care of all that. You need to focus on learning our lore.”

Nice job, seriously. This is one of the best stories I've seen on C&G in a long time.
I can't patrol though, I'm mobile.
(believe me, if I could, I would) |

| This is our lore and a wall of text because I forgot Roblox does not indent so I have to add spaces. |

Castlemore,
I use google docs when I wrote this. Like some people I use indents to define paragraphs. Roblox does not do indents so it just came out as a wall of text. Next time I'll use space. |

Put gaps between your paragraphs (Roblox doesnt do indenting) and work on being a little less... literal? How to say that. You just seem to blankly state things. Not sure how to explain that.
Also work on your dialogue a bit.
Other than that not terrible. TSU is like the only group lore I like that I didn't write. Nice to see it being used.
Should really get around to doing a story for CONEX. |
