@Alex If you use spectre-only shotgun, plus high level hammerhead rounds, You can ping enemies off into orbit, especially when used with lift. Vanguards are so much fun, even on Hardcore. |

| Eh. I've never really liked biotic classes. It's either infiltrator or soldier for me. I prefer bullets to bending dark matter to my will. |

I mostly played solider, until I played Vangaurd for the first time. I've not really tried it in 3, as I dislike changing the classes when I import my characters to a new game, and playing Vangaurd on ME3MP can have issues, if your not the host.
Biotics in ME1 were kind of under powered, unless you really upgraded them, or you were spamming barrier to boost yourself. Unless it's lift. Then it's overpowered beyond fixing, as you can lift a Geth Amarture, and even a Colossus, if you've maxed it out.

| I have to admit, most games I've played, the shotgun is usually oh so satisfying to wield. Crowd clearing is so much fun. |

| Shotgun is kind of odd in ME1. It's less for crowd-control, and more like a sniper rifle, really. Really high damage, to one particular target, as there's not that much spread. Snipers just got the advantage of a scope, but if your aiming at large targets, such as krogan, you can easily hit them at long-range. With the shotgun... |
