Breathe in, breathe out.
Everything is going to be fine.
Help will come soon, for certain.
They can put the lunatic who locked you in here in jail and get you out.
No help yet.
No help.
No-
Stop--
CALM DOWN-
STOP PANICKING!
You don't have to cry.
It's going to be okay.
Breathe. --------------------------------------------------------------------- You've been staring at your less-than-desirable surroundings for several hours now. The only thing separating you from complete silence is the monotone hum of the light strip on the floor. Why someone would place a light on the floor is beyond you, but you have more important things to focus on. Say, escape. There is no door nor window to be seen, and concrete walls do not buckle under the force of a fist. Shame. General Analysis: Check.
There is no sign of any previous victims. No cliche day-count marks scribbled on the wall. Only the bare room with some debris scattered around. The most interesting things you can find are a black bag with a few hair strands (presumably yours) in it and a quarter. In-Depth Analysis: Check.
You appear generally unharmed, with the exception of a few bruises. Your clothes, on the other hand, are dirtied and tattered. You pull your sleeves up to check for any possible marks. You notice a smudge of black ink on your forearm. Its contents are too tiny to investigate at a glance. Self Analysis: Check.
Now it's planning time.
What do you do?
A: Scan your cell some more and look for anything hidden that could help you escape. B: Investigate the mark on your arm. C: Attempt to call for help.

Majority rules, so B followed by A.
The urge to see what the mark on your arm beholds is quite unbearable. You yank your sleeve up, fully exposing the ink on your skin.
"RUSRC 1" "F279"
You squint at the mark in confusion and disgust. That was all you got? A possible abbreviation and a few numbers that look like they belong on an RGB color value chart! Your patience is running thin. You investigate the tattoo no further and decide to re-survey your surroundings instead. In your blind panic you forgot to really dig into the few items at your disposal. Begrudgingly, you force your hands into the old black bag left on the floor and give it a vigorous shake. Nothing will come out, right? Just your damn luck.
-Breathe.-
Your heart skips a beat as a small clattering noise is heard. Could it be! You eagerly hop to ground-level and spot a flicker of orange out of the corner of your eye. You whip around and grab the object as though there was a risk of it being stolen. You examine it carefully after calming down enough not to have a stroke.
A screwdriver.
You pocket it and slump against a wall. You need to empty your mind.
Do you:
A: Scour for more objects. B: Brainstorm possible ways you could use the screwdriver. |
