'Play Solo'

That feature was once available to developers who uncopylocked their place. For some time now, it's been removed. I'd like for this to be added again, but in a different way.

Here's how it would be added:
It'd be put in the Permissions tab, under 'Other Permissions'.

By putting it there, a developer can decide whether to have the game servers be the size they set or players would have the option of 'Play Solo'.

Support it or not, it's just a suggestion to think about.

oh yeah i remember those days

i also remember when i would go into solo mode on a place like the ROBLOX HQ, back when the old interface was still there, i would open up the toolbox and open a super op rocket or something and blow up the whole thing without interference of other players...

the days... c:

That's if the game developer intended for it to be played solo and multi-player. Sometimes it ruins people's experience of a well-designed game if they go solo and it was intended to be multi-player.

But I get what you're saying. If they do either option of the player deciding or the developer, I'm fine with that. I'd just like for it to be added again.

This would allow a developer to decide whether to have his game use the standard server size he chose or enable players to have the option of 'Play Solo'.

It's not just setting the server to 1, it's about having the ability to go into a game solo even if the server size is above 1.

then make two copies of your game
multi-player and single-player
in both games add a button in game custom menu to teleport to the other game if you wish
problem solved

Making two versions limits what can be created in the future. Thereby inhibiting others from designing more innovative places for people to enjoy.

It's more of a matter of convenience that could possibly improve the company's product. Just a simple suggestion to think about.

or you could stop whining and use the solution you've been given
if it's multi-player, it's multi-player
if it's single-player, it's single-player
you can't play TMM by yourself
pretty hard to run a business by yourself
even though those aren't likely games to allow a single-player mode, if they want it to be multi-player, they will make it multiplayer

This isn't about having a place just be multi-player or just single player. It's about having the ability to decide whether a place can have the option for players to decide themselves whether they wish to play a game solo or with other people in multi-player.

The suggestion is to put another check mark place under 'Other Permissions' and let developers decide whether they allow the players themselves to choose to enter in mult-player or single player.

Just like how they can choose whether to have 'Comments Allowed' or make it a 'Builders Club Only'. This would grant developers on whether or not they allow people who play their game in their own single player server.

This feature was once available to developers who uncopylocked their place and it'd give players the option to click 'Play Solo' along with 'Play' and 'Edit'.

Because of that, it would take a bit of fixing, but it shouldn't be much of a problem to add on this type of feature to the 'Permissions' tab, under 'Other Permissions'.

Wouldn't it be interesting having this ability?

Like I said in the beginning post:

It's a suggestion about adding a feature to the website to enable developers to decide whether players can have the ability to click 'Play Solo' for their own single player server or click 'Play' to enter a server that would follow the restrictions of the developer's desired server size maximum.

It's a suggestion for them to implement something that could possibly benefit someone who would use this site to design a game that may possibly turn into the next best selling console or computer game in the future. All for the entertainment of the populace.

Support it or not, it's just a suggestion to think about.

I have read what both of you have posted. Have you read what I have been posting? I'm posting relevant things to my thread to give people who read it a better explanation and understanding of what this new feature would do and how it would be implemented.

It's a suggestion about adding a feature to the website to enable developers to decide whether players can have the ability to click 'Play Solo' for their own single player server or click 'Play' to enter a server that would follow the restrictions of the developer's desired server size maximum.

If developers choose to check it, players would see 'Play' as they normally do and right next to it see 'Play Solo'. Thereby enabling the people who play that game to either go into a multi-player server that would follow the restrictions set by the developer's desired server size maximum or a solo server where that player would be the only one there.

If developers don't choose to check it, the place would be the same as default and just show players who view the game just 'Play' for the places that are copylocked or 'Play' and 'Edit' for those that are uncopylocked.

Support it or not, it's just a suggestion to think about.

I'm not spamming, I'm attempting to give a better explanation of the beginning post and how it would work. Have you even read my posts to see how I am replying to those posts?

That solution would work if that was the only thing this suggestion was about, but it isn't.

The suggestion is about adding a feature to the website that would give developers a way to make a place of theirs playable in mult-player and solo player if the person who is playing wishes to do so.

I don't understand how you are not getting this.

I've explained it in depth just before this post of yours.
