I've started work on a new platforming game; Opinions needed

As the title says, I've started making a platforming game. You climb up various platforms until you get out of the level. There's a bit of a story if you pay attention, (I'd rather not spoil it.). So far, the 1st 3 levels are done, the 4th one is currently being worked on. I plan on making each level varied, with different types. Some might be full of action (i.e, shooting at monsters while they're chasing you, while you climb up and get out.) So, I want some feedback and opinions. Constructive criticism is appreciated.

"A game about holes and waking up". Hopefully you explain a bit more on the description. But anyway, not 100% sure why you have to teleport to a new place (I think that's what's happening) each time you complete a level. Best just to keep the all the levels in the same place if possible, using a 'miniature skybox' or fog to hide the later levels away from view.

I was also confused about the third level. The game went from climbing up a 'tower' of sorts and escaping, while the third feels like a mini obby. I'd also reframe from using such bright colours, especially red. It can be very straining for the eyes. Lastly, the green orbs at the end flash very bizarrely and frequently and needs to be looked into.

All in all, it looks rather interesting. I look forward to future levels the game has to offer.

I will explain more in the description, certainly, later. Sorry about the teleportation, by the way, certain scripts would only work if they were seperate places (Especially in the 3rd level). I'm trying to figure it out (I'm fairly new to scripting hence why the game's really simplistic.), when I do, the game will be seperated into sections/ chapters, with the levels in a singular place/section.

As for the confusion on the 3rd level, I understand it! I was a bit worried about that, too. The first few levels in the game will serve as 'tutorials' in a way, very easy, and kinda' explaining the game. There will be more levels like the the 3rd one, and they explain the story the most. You're still escaping, just not from somewhere in the universe, you're escaping your mind (Which has to do with the story, later on.) Onto the bright colors, I'll try and turn down the brightness so it isn't as straining. Those green orbs are supposed to flash bizarrely! Hahaha, I want the levels like the 3rd one to be a bit more unique, and erratic than the other ones.

Ah ok then, fair enough. I kind of preferred how the levels play out in the first two much more than the 3rd. I guess they could become slighty more 'fragmented' in later stages to keep the theme the 3rd level has going for it. Nice to know you're addressing the colours also. Regarding the flashing, be very careful. Some people have photosensitive epilepsy and having flashing could trigger it. Heck, im fairely sure I don't have it myself but while moving through that level I could barely look at the game itself. At least turn down the frequency of the flashing down or have them fade-in and out.

then it will be epic when it's done

I didn't get teleported though I think that's a glitch on my part because lately I've been glitching like that

Thanks for the feedback! I addressed the bright colors, and the flashing orbs were toned down. Level 4 is almost done and will be available to play soon! Bump.

I'm proud to say that Level 5 is finally complete! Sorry it took-Wait, let's count the days...-9! Sorry it took 9 days to finish. School and some stuff IRL got in the way of completing this. And there was tons of bugs, you have no idea how boring it is to iron those out. Just a warning, this one's retro-inspired, and extremely frustrating in the sense that it's hard. That wraps up the tutorial, onto the main game it's self.

If this game picks up some more visits I'll try and get my scripting knowledge a bit up so I can make a little menu that saves your progress so you don't have to start all over from Level 1. Expect Level 1 of Chapter 2, maybe in a week or so (A few days if I'm lucky.). If any of you have any level ideas, that'd be awesome! Bump.
