1: They denied decals for no good reason other than "copyright". (Which is nonsense. Literally hundreds of thousands of people upload heavily copyrighted TV images a day and I uploaded a simple image off DeviantArt that was labelled as free to use and not based off actual media.)

2: They seem to work within a certain timezone, which leaves other timezones waiting for hours whilst the decal moderator is sleeping for the night. (This is not a kick at the moderator, this is a suggestion that you get a more diverse moderating team so you can have 24/7 decal moderation service in all timezones.)

3: Over the past 2-3 days I've noticed that even during the decal moderators timezone, he/she/they seem to be slipping a bit and the waiting times have increased, heavily. Perhaps this may be server issues, perhaps the moderator is becoming less active. I don't know for sure.

Long story short, I suggest a more diverse decal moderating team, one that spans across several countries so players don't have to wait hours whilst the American(?) decal moderator is sleeping away the night. It also saves the current decal moderators quite some effort as a larger team is in effect, one which is more diverse and knows more cultures, so it knows what's inappropriate and what's actually not.

Support. I tried to reupload the BC icons on the upgrade page and the OBC icon got rejected instantly for some reason. Everything else went fine.

Here's my siggy... Done.

@Glac
Yes, I understand the whole patience half. But when you're rushed for a project you promised people, it gets annoying when the decal moderators are sleeping on the job. And when you live in the complete opposite timezone, meaning that the decal moderators are asleep for most of the day in your area, it gets annoying.

Patience is a virtue. Also, you can still place any decal out in your place while it's still being checked, and you (Yes only you) can see if you Play. Although i do agree with number 1, they are a bit strict.

@connor I myself can stand a few hours, but a whole day just to get your decal declined is a bit too much.

Also, if something is declined they should explain why.

Support, except #1.
Anything uploaded to the site is ROBLOX's property. They might get sued if they accept any images that violate copyright.
And yes,add a reason why it was declined(assuming it was declined). I'm ok with copy paste messages.

@crow
About that ... let's say somebody uploads an image of Batman. We all know who Batman is, and he's heavily copyrighted and all that. Art style, character design, everything. Full copyright. Actual material that somebody could sue for and it gets accepted. Now, I come along and upload a random droid I found, that somebody on Deviantart made and they said "yeah, sure, I don't care about copyright, upload it where-ever". That's not something you can sue over, and it violates no copyright. But it gets declined, because of "copyright". I once even tried to throw an image that I personally drew, and it got declined. I've seen people get stuff that THEY made, get declined. They didn't violate any copyright laws because they used their own art style and characters. But it got declined.

I agree with you on that. I am just saying that there is the possibility of ROBLOX being sued if they accept material that violated copyright.
I SUPPORT EVERYTHING (except #1).

@crow But like he said, he's talking about images being declined for "no reason, even if they're not copyright to anyone.

It was not passed for a reason. Something in the decal is violating the rules.
For example, it is very hard to allow some decals of the Megpoid mascot (aka Gumi) because specific parts are showing on some art of her.

@Buck

I'm aware that the moderators are in California, A.K.A. America. That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that having them exclusively in California is a bad move. I'm suggesting a more diverse team so people aren't waiting seven or so hours whilst the moderator is sleeping only to find that your decal, shirt, t-shirt, pants or other item has been declined for no decent reason. I'm not saying a diverse developer team, I'm saying a diverse moderation team.

@FLChan

The decal had nothing wrong with it. It was just a random drone that somebody on DeviantArt designed. A robot. Nothing inappropriate. A military grade robot. Mantis legs, slim upper body designed for fast movement and high jumping. Just a simple sci-fi military robot. It got declined. I got told it was because of "copyright". It was not from any TV show, movie, book, video game or other media. Somebody made it as a custom design on DeviantArt because they got bored one day, with no inspiration except for the real life robot projects. They said it was free of all copyright. And regarding your comment about revealing images of women ... I've seen a decal of Samus Aran in a bunny suit and Gundam women in armour that barely even covers their parts. Literally, barely covers it. Can see everything but the bits that can actually be considered offensive. There was no rule violation.

Some robotics are considered violent or otherwise inappropriate due to design.

I've seen full on gore images of creepypasta characters get passed through with not even a second glance. Blood, guts, etc. Like I said, a simple mantis robot with a thin upper body. No rifle, just a basic design sketch that somebody coloured in with military colours. Three fingers on each arm, nothing violent.

Minor gore is okay. If something is inappropriate, then report it.
Your decal was not passed for a reason.
