don't watch vhs or abcs of death unless you're really familiar with horror and violence because they take a certain perspective to understand but I still wouldn't recommend them because they're production qualities are kind of awful
to start off I'd suggest maybe evil dead 2 |

| Carrie (2013) is a super good movie. You can also watch the 1976 version on Netflix. |

From what's currently on Netflix
(PG13) World War Z (does that even count as horror? It's in the genre list at least...)
(PG13) The Fog (I personally haven't watched it, but I've heard a ton of good reviews for it)
(R) Children of the Corn (it's definitely more creepy than scary, but it's one of my favorites from Stephen King)
(R) Grave Encounters (if you want scary, THIS is what you want. It takes A LOT to scare me, and this one had be literally hiding behind my covers. In broad daylight)
(R) Carrie (another great one from Stephen King. I would watch the original before the remake, though. Don't let the year of release fool you, it's amazing)
=============================================================================
And if you ever want a good movie outside of Netflix, I recommend:
(PG13) The Ring (my first horror movie, and by golly, it's the creepiest thing I've ever seen to this day)
(R) Silence of the Lambs (again, more creepy, but it was very intriguing)
(R) The Cabin in the Woods (very funny, and THAT. ENDING. THOUGH.)
(R) [Rec] (If you're into freaky zombie movies, you will LOVE this one. If you prefer, there's an American remake called Quarantine, but it's not nearly as good)
(R) Funny Games (this is more of a... disturbing movie. It... it messed me up, man. I can't look movie characters in the eye anymore. And when things don't go the killer's way, he just... Oh my, just watch it) |

Yea, V/H/S is good.
I've also heard good things about ABCs of Death.
Also The Hole. More of a thriller, but still an okay movie so recommending it.

| Tucker and Dale vs Evil was a good one, I've seen it a few times now. That one is more of a comedy/horror though. I also suggest the Collection, it's part 2 but you don't have to see the first one to enjoy the second one. |
