| The developer community has known about Real Devs and "Real" Devs for a while now. For me as a developer, this really grinds my gears see copied games *ehem Janlari ehem* become front page wonders. What is even worse is these "Real" Devs get a boat load of dollars, cash, dough, mooolahhhh, etc. I am a victim of these "Real" Devs because recently this user named Devirian (Notice the Dev is his name? That's as fake as fools gold.) published a "new recruiting lobby" as his new game. If you can tell by the visits he re-published games on that one Workspace making it seem like it was popular. The reason I am a victim is because he basically took a version of my original that was basically a hacked version of mine that somebody got that had minus all the things that would link back to me. This goes to show not all people with "Dev" in their name are actual developers that spend hard hours trying to make something original but are brushed aside with copied games. |

| Hey hey hey! On the bright side every person with the name prefixed by "Abdul" is a dev, so I'd say it's even? |

The IQ levels of this thread is below zero...
RbxDev is this: developer.roblox.com
Not a group. |

IMO, some "real" devs are in RbxDev too and therefore if someone is in RbxDev doesnt automatically mean that they are a good developer.
Oseday is a good developer :) |

A dev by term in Roblox is RbxDev... Not talking about scripting and building capabilities.
Thanks Jobro. :) |

A dev is someone who develops games. You don't have to be in RBXDev to be a developer, that's arbitrary; it's a community for devs to get together and talk. It is less an embellishment than it is a mark of belonging to the active community over there. Most of the people there got in because a). they have a modicum of competence in general game design; and more importantly, b). they have some capacity for discussing pertinent topics. As someone else mentioned, many members of RBXDev aren't "authentic" developers (including myself). |

OP says that people with Dev in their names are not any good devs. The "Dev" in the name thing came from some RbxDev members because they thought it was cool.
Then some people declared that they were devs and one of them. Now people think that only they exist and talk without the knowledge of what is even going on.
So, "real" devs are people who are in RbxDev. |

| Games don't get popular completely randomly, free modeled or not. Either, the free modelers mass advertise, or they stick to popular trends. |
